Title: Can I do This? Post by: Bob's Orange on Saturday, March 29, 2008, 10:14:10 I had Itunes on my old PC, with Internet Explorer, but my new laptop has Windows XP. I want to put Itunes onto it and transfer all of the songs from my Ipod onto the Itunes.
I believe that this is possible, but do I run the risk of wiping all of the music off my Ipod? Title: Can I do This? Post by: Ralphy on Saturday, March 29, 2008, 12:40:01 Save the iTunes library onto a memory stick and then install iTunes on your new PC.
You can then import the library. Title: Can I do This? Post by: Ralphy on Saturday, March 29, 2008, 12:41:39 You can't copy from an iPod to a PC.
Apple won't let you for some reason. Title: Can I do This? Post by: Samdy Gray on Saturday, March 29, 2008, 13:42:35 Quote from: "Ralphy" You can't copy from an iPod to a PC. You can if you use a third party app like ephPod. I used it to rip all my tunes back to my PC after I formatted the hard drive. iTunes wouldn't recognised my iPod once I'd used it with ephPod, so I just reset the iPod. It wiped the iPod but because I'd already transferred my music to my PC I just sync'd it back to the iPod again. Title: Can I do This? Post by: flammableBen on Saturday, March 29, 2008, 13:45:37 pure madness.

Post by: Simon Pieman on Saturday, March 29, 2008, 14:38:35 I didn't know that. I've never used an ipod, wouldn't want something that limits how you can use it. After all I have windows for that :-))(

Just downloading Itunes onto my Laptop, will then download that and see if it works. I can't save my Itunes from my PC as my PC is currently broken Ralphy. Fingers crossed it works, got 6,500 songs on my Ipod and a further 20 or so new CD's to put into it. Title: Can I do This? Post by: Bob's Orange on Saturday, March 29, 2008, 19:44:39 ok, I got it to work using that CopyTrans software, however now I can't get Itunes to open. When I click on it, nowt happens and when I try to import nothing happens.
Any ideas? Title: Can I do This? Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, March 30, 2008, 02:07:22 I have never used Itunes, but as a general thingy. CTRL+ALT+DEL and make sure it's not already running but crashed. Firefox is good for doing that.

Thanks for taking the time out at that time in the morning to help me though. Title: Can I do This? Post by: flammableBen on Sunday, March 30, 2008, 13:59:26 I don't remember posting that at all.
