Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Frasier3 on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 09:56:21 He is now back after the end of his loan spell at Torquay. Should MM include him in the squad for Friday night?
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Luci on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 09:57:47 Yes. The lad deserves a chance on the bench at least as he hasn't been given a proper one so far. Based on our recent performances bar Carlisle, he might be an option.
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Colin Todd on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 09:59:26 No. He's a non league player.
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Luci on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 10:00:48 Based on what? The significant amount times you've seen him play for us this season?
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Colin Todd on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 10:05:39 Quote from: "STFCLady" Based on what? The significant amount times you've seen him play for us this season? I've seen enough. His "basics" just arnt good enough, like his 1st touch for example. His movement off the ball. Passing. He's done nothing for us, bar 1 good headless chicken run v whoever. Do you suggest we just keeping playing someone who has had no impact whatseover in the vain hope he might do something? I've nothing against the lad, I just dont think hes good enough. I've said all along I hope he proves me wrong and turns out to be a good player. I just dont think thats going to happen Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Luci on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 10:09:54 Quote from: "Colin Todd" Quote from: "STFCLady" Based on what? Not at all. I'm suggesting he deserves a chance before hes shipped out. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Fred Elliot on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 10:14:51 Could anyone please inform me what his goals/games ratio was for Torquay, as that will obviously have an impact on my next post in this thread
:D Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Batch on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 10:18:51 Forgot all about him.
I don't think he should walk into the squad above Paynter, Cox and Sturrock. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 10:30:45 With Paynter, Cox and Sturrock available? Kaid Mohammed? :soapy tit wank: Nah.
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Fred Elliot on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 10:52:40 he has played 0nly 5 games and scored twice in a non league environment.
I dont think so ......................... Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: stfctownenda on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 11:11:23 I think Lady was more suggesting he should be in the squad than the first team, I don't think anyone thinks he should be in ahead of our front strikers.
Useful option from the bench as he can play wide or up front. I watched few of his games for Torquay and he looked a real threat running at people, not a write off yet IMO. Least someone was aware what I was getting at. A place on the bench though. Can't do any harm. I'd hardly suggest dropping Coxy, Paynter etc. for him. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: EB1 on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 11:25:09 Most definately put him in squad and play him off the bench in the last 10 mins if we are chasing a goal. If a sumo style Akinfenwa can score a goal under similar circumstances then 100 mph Kaid aganist a tiring defence should be able to cause some havoc. Even if he does not score a goal himself, with a little bit of guile he should earn us a penalty.
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: stfctownenda on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 11:28:06 Plus 2 goals in 5 isn't bad for a loan period especially as they played him right wing the majority of the time.
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Batch on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 11:33:32 Quote from: "stfctownenda" I think Lady was more suggesting he should be in the squad than the first team, . Yes, we got that. To clarify, in my opinion: I don't think he should be selected ahead of Paynter, Cox and Sturrock up front. 1 of those will be sub. He shouldn't be ahead of Mcnamee, McGovern, Easton, Peacock, Zaboub, or Timlin. 2 of those will be sub, We need a defender on the bench, and a keeper. 2 more subs. So there is no space in the squad for him. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: dell boy on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 11:35:26 Quote from: "Iffy's Onion Bhaji" With Paynter, Cox and Sturrock available? Kaid Mohammed? :soapy tit wank: Nah. He has a better strike record than our formidable front men who play every week. In 2008 the three mentioned above have managed just 7 goals between them. Cox 3 (1 pen) Sturrock 2 Paynter 2 I would definitely put him on the bench and give him a run out tomorrow night, what have we got to lose. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 11:37:53 Quote from: "dell boy" Quote from: "Iffy's Onion Bhaji" With Paynter, Cox and Sturrock available? He's nowhere near as good a player as any of them 3 in my opinion. Give him a run out if and when we are safe. But for now we need the points. Paynter and Cox are our two best so play them. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: dell boy on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 11:40:37 Yes they are, and that shows just how impotent a strike force we have.
We need goals, try anything, put Easton up front he couldn't do any worse, he's scored four in 2008. But few of them are impact subs for me, I wouldn't argue there better players at the moment with regards to starting a game but at the moment we have a squad of players low on confidence not playing well why not throw a kid in with a barrel load of enthusiasm who likes to run at people plus he will be looking to earn a contract so has more to play for. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: adje on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 11:58:59 As McGovern is proving to be a complete waste of everyone's time-could Mo not get a chance as a right-sided midfielder?

If he can play then so can I, (I'm 34 by the way)  Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: reeves4england on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 13:19:35 Funny how despite the fact none of us have seen him play for 2 months, everybody seems to know he's been crap.
Give the guy a chance FFS. Everybody was complaining about the performance and attitude of the team on Monday. We have a young lad coming back from a loan spell who's full of enthusiasm and wants to earn a new contract - got to be worth giving him a chance ahead of the (apparant) "I can't be arsed to try and win" brigade. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: tans on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 13:20:48 I thought he scored more than 2, in the FA Trophy as well or whatever its called. Dont know much about this non-league lark
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 13:26:01 I think he should only get a chance if he has impressed Malpas in training or heard good reports back from his loan spell.
He hasn't done anything here (whether he's been given adequate chance or not) and a brief loan spell in non-league doesn't prove much. I don't think it's worth giving him a go just because of that, but equally it's not worth excluding him because he hasn't done alot since his arrival. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Arriba on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 14:07:37 why has he come back anyway?
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: tans on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 14:16:07 Quote from: "arriba" why has he come back anyway? To try earn a new contract i should think. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Luci on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 15:03:22 Hes in the squad for Friday its confirmed after impressing Malpas in training.
Good luck to him, hope he does well. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Power to people on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 15:20:03 When he was signed he was billed as one for the future not one for now so to write him off so soon is rather wrong.
I think perhaps he would be given a go from the bench, perhaps in a wide role as I think he is better there than up front. Let's be fair as well he can't be any worse than JP really Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 15:28:45 Quote from: "STFCLady" Hes in the squad for Friday its confirmed after impressing Malpas in training. What's the betting he'll be chipped out to play right wing?
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Mark Hanrahan on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 15:45:36 He's had a season to make an impression but sadly hasn't. Nothing personal but he showed me enough in the brief Swansea appearance that he's just not quite got enough in the locker. Why say goodbye to a player like Royce Brownlie but keep someone like Kaid Mohammed? They are both in the same bracket (although Brownlie had a proper shot on him) and simply not good enough. Remember, we should be looking to the future and he aint it.
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 15:50:32 I keep getting him muddled up with Curtis Weston :|
Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: lebowski on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 18:23:30 :o
I think he was playing left-wing for Torquay, as Zebroski generally plays on the right for them. I think. I don't know really. Title: Kaid Mohamed Post by: leefer on Thursday, March 27, 2008, 21:59:37 Iwould like to see him given 5 games.....also woullike to see Nicholas given a run after his performance at Walsall.....to many players in this team are not putting the effort in....Mcgovern has been a disgrace with the talent hes got,ime not saying they are better than whos been playing just maybe will put the effort in,alot of talent and no effort isnt good enough....i would rather have players with a little less talent play who will put in 110 per cent EVERY match, not just against the big teams.
