Title: Remaining Fixtures
Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, 14:52:15
So then realistically how many points do you see us getting out of these then

Tranmere v Swindon, 19:45
Swindon v Oldham, 15:00
Doncaster v Swindon, 19:45
Swindon v Port Vale, 15:00
Bristol Rovers v Swindon, 19:45
Gillingham v Swindon, 15:00
Swindon v Millwall, 15:00

I can only see 6 and that’s in the hope we can beat Port Vale who seem to be doing ok results wise

Im a bit worried :?

I reckon 8 points (Win against Vale & Millwall, draw against Oldham and Gillingham).

56 points and safe as houses.

No way in the world Gillingham would get 18 points from their last 7 games.  Too many teams below us in shit form for us to be caught by enough.  Final position between 16th and 18th.

Tranmere v Swindon - DRAW <<<<<<< 1
Swindon v Oldham - DRAW
Doncaster v Swindon - LOSS
Swindon v Port Vale - DRAW <<<<<<<<<< 2
Bristol Rovers v Swindon - LOSS
Gillingham v Swindon - DRAW
Swindon v Millwall - WIN <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<3

7 points.

1- We'll bounce back against the Trannies with a scrappy 1-1 as a kind of backlash to the crapness of last weekend.
2- We won't win this. It's a cheap ticket game which is great, but we are always crap for these.
3 - Absolute shoe in win. We will be safe by then. I am away on holiday. There can be only 1 result.

Tranmere v Swindon, 19:45 - Lose

Swindon v Port Vale, 15:00 - Draw
Bristol Rovers v Swindon, 19:45 - Lose
Gillingham v Swindon, 15:00 - Draw

Gills will needs to beat us to stay up and  fail, we'll never be likely to go down but won't be mathematically safe until the Gills game, then beat 'wall.

Can only see us getting 6 or 7 more points myself. Just enough to stay up. Wins against 2 of Vale, Oldham and Millwall with us typically losing our away games.

Gillingham are good at home and were god damn awful away. Let's hope the pressure is on them otherwise they'll beat us without question.

Its difficult seeing us pick up another point this season....this would take Malpas past King's all time 8 league  defeats in a row record......Malpas has got to be worse than King right?

One season apart, King showed himself to be able to mix questionable tactical know how in with being a bit of cunt.  Malpas may have the first bit (if we judge it so soon) but doesn't seem like a cunt to me, so no.

that will be enough to stay up though, there are also a few rumours doing the rounds that the pikeys might go into admin so we might already have enough,

There's a reason why Gillingham are at the bottom, and not at the top: That being that they are absolutely focking shoyte.

We're fine.

True. They still have Carlisle, Swansea and Leeds to play so hopefully we won't even have to worry.

Post by: reeves4england on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, 13:46:14
I reckon we'll win one of the next three, beat Port Vale and take points from atleast 2 of our last 3 games. Our last 4 games are against some of the worst teams in the league and a local rival - if there's ever a time to turn things round that will be it.

We'll finish on 56-58 points in 16th place and wonder why we were worried.

(fingers crossed!)

Gills away, a thumping 3-0 revenge for that horrendous show last time we were there, send the cunts down.

Don't give a fuck about the others, there's no way we'll go down in my humble opinion.

Also on another note to Board - make one of these games a cheap one to get people going, most people think the season is over so won't bother now unless there is an incentive.

Weve got a terrible record at home to Oldham. I remmember us loosing at home to them in 2005, 04, 02 and 2001. We did get a Roberts 1-0 in 2004 league game. Thats a terrible record for a team that have rarely troubled the play offs.

I do think we will beat Port Vale.

Definately get beat at Gills again though. That game will mean everything to them.

I think we'll get 1 win and 2 draws. Thats me being optimistic as well.

25th August 2001 we lost 0-2.

I recall a classic game in 66/67 when we dumped Oldham 6-3.  Don Rogers got a hat trick, Dennis (Bullets) Brown a brace and Bruce Walker the other.  Oldham had the legendary Jimmy Frizzell scheming for them and he may have got a goal or two.

We were in the middle of a purple patch scoring 18 goals in 4 home games and Brown also got 4 at Bormuff.

That side went on to dump West Ham in the cup, yet they were inconsistent managing to equal the then club record of 6 defeats on the spin.

You knew though that if it came together this was a side that could really play....I guess its the difference from now....our current side, can do the inconsistent, but not the reallly good perfromance.

Nah, that's just bad grammar.

Writing 'we're be' instead of 'we'll be' is just complete and utter spaztastic.

you can throw they're into the their / there mix.

I'm pretty sure I've done it before so I can't moan.

it's is the other one. Unlike other nouns, you don't use an apostrophe if it's possessive, only if you're shortening it is.

Oh and you're and your.
