Title: Statton Bank Post by: STFC Bart on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 12:31:10 Thats my gripe.
I do not have an issue with incentives to get bums on seats- especially for the less attractive games ala Port Vale. I just think they should give something to the ST holders as well- even if it is a free programme for the game Title: Statton Bank Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 12:32:32 Quote from: "STFC Bart" Thats my gripe. or 10% of stuff in the club shop, oh wait they do that already .I do not have an issue with incentives to get bums on seats- especially for the less attractive games ala Port Vale. If you want to go in the Bank you can do so for free. Title: Statton Bank Post by: Luci on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 12:34:29 As a ST holder you've been offered a free move and get 10% and numerous discounts on various packages over the course of a season.
Its one game for fucks sake, hardly like they're reducing several games pricing. If that was the case I'd understand your gripe. I for one think its a great idea to open the bank and get a better atmosphere as opposed to it sitting dormant every game. I do not have an issue with incentives to get bums on seats- especially for the less attractive games ala Port Vale. I just think they should give something to the ST holders as well- even if it is a free programme for the game ...but... you paid what? £340 for your season ticket at the start of the season....so for 23 games thats £14.78 per game which is alot cheaper than the pay on the day prices. Even in this case a ticket bought on match day for the South Stand is more expensive that what you paid for yours? people who buy it in advance save a whole £3.78 over you Bart.....£3.78 ffs! I can't understand why people do that. Title: Statton Bank Post by: tans on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 12:59:47 word up for the stratton bank sun system.

I sort of understand the gripes about ST's, as long as they only do the odd 1 or 2 then it does not really reduce the price of the ST but it is like in previous season's when quite a lot of incentives have been done so it does end up reducing ST's in the long run. I'm sure when they decide on ST prices for next season though it will probably include some good incentives. Title: Statton Bank Post by: Arriba on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 14:12:55 good idea, but matchday price increases should cease.
Title: Statton Bank Post by: pauld on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 14:21:06 As a one-off incentive for an otherwise unattractive fixture, got to be welcomed. They've done what they can to enable season ticket holders to participate if they wish to and as others have pointed out, it hardly makes a dent in the overall discount offered over the season does it. And anyway that's not the only reason for getting a ST - personally, being able to keep the seat amongst the guys I regularly go to the game with is as big an incentive as the money.
And what arriba said too. Title: Statton Bank Post by: fatbury on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 14:58:38 nah its a good idea . i like it and applaud it

Just to piss off season ticket holders, who are really just greedy scum who have to get all their tickets at once. Scummy scum scum. I think I'd prefer Rovers fans here to season ticket holders.
Also if they made the rest of the season free, it would be interesting to see if we'd actually fill the ground. I think not. There's a scale of things which can happen to you once you're up against the revolutionary wall. On one side you've got stuff like "Recieve a nice sandwich of your choice", then it goes round to stuff like "Being drawn on with permanent marker", through "Get given a mild Beating" and the slightly more extreme "Gang-Raped" up to the proper executions of "Shot in the face" and so forth.
