earlier this week at work, i was asked to move my car as i'd left a bit of room on the driver side so i could get my laptop out of my car without denting my car, someone elses car or dropping anything. i do this most days because the parking is pretty relaxed and there is loads of room.

however, the crazymentalist receptionist insisted i had to move my car, i obliged and went back to work. few minutes later, she asked me to move it again - so i did, as close as i could possibly get. mine is the dark blue clio, the light blue pug is hers.

so what happens? this is what happens.

some people simply should not deserve to drive. she outright refused to move her car all day because she was in a "bad mood".

on the plus side, i still ended up with loads of space on the drivers side door 8)

I could tell the some stories about driving/parking in Bangkok, but I don't have all night and so I shant.

Although I will say that should thou ever find one's self driving in Bangkok, and you have to stop in traffic behind a car on a hill ALWAYS leave at least a 3 foot gap between you and the car in front as Thai's in general simply cannot get to grips with hill starts (They nearly always roll back), and it is never their fault.

Oh and their is a parking one that I will mention. For some resons Thai drivers some completely oblivous to the fact that the poor sod whom they are blocking in might actually want to use their car at some point.

That secretary/receptionist at your work seems a bit of a tit thought.

I went to a house viewing one night last week and went to park on the side of the road, a few doors down from the house I was seeing. Before I'd got out some old chap knocks on my window and threaten to take my number plate. I laughed and asked him what he planned on doing with it. Does he collect them? he gave me a foul mouthed tirade about why I shouldn;t park in front of his house. Miserable ballbag. Needless to say I won;t be moving into the area... or maybe I should buy the house and park there every day?!

the pug belongs to the receptionist who asked me to move my car twice, suggesting she'd "get it towed" when i laughed when she asked the second time. i was feeling petty so i parked as close as i could without risking damaging my car.

later on, someone else turned up in the astra and parked like a total twat.

Where was your car parked originally and why did she ask you to move it (Twice). After your last post I guess that she thought that you where not parked clode enough to her's and therefore was taking up parking space.

Which is why you are pissed at the blue Astra thingy. Am I right, if so it took some noodle work to figure it out.

If so, who does the Astra belong to, and was the owner asked to move it, and if not why not?

I see your gripe an that would get under my skin also. My guess is that with you being the new boy that she feels as though she might have some kind of authority to boss you about a bit.

I think I got the story. Sonic liked parking in all the massive available space, receptionist tells him off, sonic parks right next to people, receptionist parks in empty space.

It looks like he might have parked as close as he could to another car just out of spite. But that's all fair play.

I think you got it wrong. The receptionist was in the light blue car, the one he parked next to.

Anyway, slightly off this particular topic, this gets me angry more than lots of things.

When a car has been parked over two spaces in a car park (see illustration). Its makes me even more angry when its a big, expensive, shiny 4 x 4, and the owner obviously believes he has some sort divine right to have two spaces instead of one to minimise the risk of his pride and joy being scratched by the car door owned by a mere mortal.

It makes me so angry that an illustration was definitely called for. I was going to do wing mirrors aswell, but thought that might be a step too far.

i apologise if i'm not making much sense, my brain is mush.

there is usually a lot of space for parking at work and there are no lines, so people tend to leave gaps between one another.

one day this week, extra parking was needed for a training course being held on site. the receptionist asked me to move my car closer to hers so there was more space for visitors. i duly obliged.

a few minutes later, she asked me to move my car again. i said there is plenty of free space and if i get any closer, neither of us will be able to get in our passenger door. she told me to move it or she'd "get it towed". as the picture below demonstrates, there is shitloads of room already.

so i moved my car again - the clio is mine, the blue peugeot is the receptionists - and that was that. in spite of all this, about ten minutes later someone else turns up in the blue astra and parks slap bang in the middle of the massive space and refused to move her car because she was in a bad mood.

oh and as it turned out, nobody else turned up to the training course except for the focus on the far right of the picture, so it was all a load of hassle for nothing.

the receptionist is a bit odd. on monday morning she came storming upstairs accusing us (support) of drinking all three pints of milk that had arrived that morning. this was about 10am and although i'd had two cups of tea myself, there is no way any of us could have drank three pints.

she was on the warpath on friday as well, demanding to know why the training room was booked and why nobody had told her, despite the fact my manager booked it earlier in the week - with her(!) - so i could do a presentation.

i think she might be unstable.

p.s. the reason the window was open on her car is cos she leaves her dog in the car all day. which is fucking horrible in my opnion...

I f I ever see a shiny 4 x 4 or bmw etc I makesure I dent it when I open my door. I have protected capped insurance policy for life so I couldn't care less. Not to mention that the chance of get caught is so small.

the general consensus in the office is that it is cruel and if she moans this week, we'll call the RSPCA.

Which is usually a sign they'd like to kick up a stink but are scared of the consequences, so glad to find some other pillock to do it for them :D


If you genuinely believe the dog's suffering you should either confront her and ask her to stop or if that's not going to work or she doesn't listen then ring the RSPCA anyway. It should depend on the dog's welfare not whether she's annoying you.

You must have been one angry man to type that whole story out, take photographic evidence and find a satalleite image.
