That is shocking. In answer to the previous question (I know it was a joke), he did play a bit in the lower leagues. I saw him back in the early 90's playing for Barnet. I think he played for Orient as well at one point.  

He was in one of those thankless positions of 'how do you follow that'. Paul Dalglish and Jordi Cruyff found themselves in similar situations.

Janaage - I'm probably a little bit more sensitive than I should be but I've had a hell of a lot of death in the family recently and still struggling to take it in. I personally find GFM's comments pathetic and sad. He really must be a very sad individual that other people's deaths makes him happy.

Sorry the fact is that my mother was serverly disabled and the shit that Mr hoddle came out with was deeply offiisve to me, my family and espillay my mother who is dead. So I think I can say whatever I like. Thanks. Oh and I would gladly say it his face.

My mother was severly disabled and she too is dead now but I dont wish death on anyone wehter they offended me or not.

To be fair if you guys knew GFM and knew how he cared for his dying mother and what he had to do would understand his comments.  He may be a loud moyth etc but this kid is allowed an opinion.

some have held a grudge over gfm's posts in this thread from months ago and i find that rather sad.

No Bushey some pricks on here respond to over the top comments made by other posters.  IIRC GFM was posting some close to the bones comments on other subjects, so when he makes comments on a "death" thread such as he did, I think it's perfectly within reason for the aforementioned pricks to pick him up on it.

How the hell can other posters know that the fella's mum was a, disabled, b, died (RIP) and c, that GFM looked after her in such an awful situation.

Come on be reasonable.  You're out of order calling others "pricks" when it could be argued that GFM contributed to this unfortunate situation.  

I personally saw it as GFM looking for a reaction which he got, as someone else said, take the comments with the pinch of salt they deserved.

I don't think many (if any) have held a grudge against the lad, I think GFM has become a good character in the TEF world.  Agree that it's time, actually it's well past time, to forget about all this though.

GFM is one the best posters on this forum IMO.

I have removed one post as thought he had told people about his mum.  Fair play if no one knew, however do think people jump at others a lot.  Its like Bart gets slated when what he said was normally spot on.

Upon relection perhaps my comments were not explained as well as they could. It was my fault. GFM had made a comment about nobody telling him to FRO recently and I dragged this up in my much pissed state. GFM stands by his original comments. I stand by mine.
