In the first team squad tomorrow. Came from Plymuff with Tozer and Joyce. He's a central defender, and Malpas obviously rates him, so I look forward to him playing on the left wing.  8)

I assume he'll be on the bench as cover, good to see these youngsters coming through, chuck Macklin on instead of Easton on the wing (CE can go back to the middle with Allen) and we might have a couple of players worth getting excited about.

Perhaps if Morrison, Allen and Macklin did start getting selected we could cut them a bit of slack if they fail to return 100% pass success rate, or if they made a mistake or two during the course of a match.  Instead of doing the usual and getting on their backs and shouting abuse at them like some choose to do.

I was thinking of missing tomorrow but I'm starting to feel like I want to go now.  Not sure why though as I'm expecting - not a lot!

Agree to a point, however I do believe that age is regardless, you have to warrant your place in the first team... otherwise get 'em out on loan and let them make their mistakes for a League 2 side.

Agree Dave but to be honest I'd rather see someone like Macklin get a chance than see the same old senior players play like amateurs each week.

I suppose he can, but Dennis wise was in a minority of one when he said it was his best position. Vincent to CB and Nicho LB would make a lot more sense in an emergency toinight.

Miguel is far better than J Smith and seems to be one of, if not the fittest member of the squad.

Hes also not injury prone and can handle several games in a short time capacity.

i think malpas will try allen in goal brezovan wide left cox central defence and roberts behind the sponsers bar.

the lad is a very good prospect at centre back.is he ready now?who knows?

Of course he's only 17 and, touch wood, will only improve. Certainly one for the future but not ready for the first team for a while yet.

He had promise, but no way was he anything special. His man got away from him a fair few times, and their man tore him a new arsehole in the first half with one run, which he stopped only by fallin on the ball.He got better as the game went on, but he didnt look much special.

dave.he lost his balance,as he fell he managed to direct his body to block the ball.he then got up and had possesion of the ball and calmly got rid.i dont think he put a foot wrong all game.

i dont big players up for the sake of it.but how anybody can critisise his performance today is baffling.
for a 17 year old kid, he played like a pro of a few years experience.he doesn't panic.and for a 17 year old that is very promising as he will get better and better yet.

and dave.it was no fluke that he came away with the ball when he lost his balance.it was good play that most of the crowd applauded.

Agree to disagree on that last point. And like i said, he got better as the game went on. Im not going to get carried away with him, though he does look better than tozer.

  Its a rite of passage thing for Dave....its always a bit disconcerting when players are younger than you....reminds you that you'l never make it yourself.  He'll get used toit.

I thought he was very good today, im not going to go OTT after one game but the potential is there for him to cement a regular first team place.

It was my first look at him today, was impressed for one so young, less so with Kanyuka when he came on.

Have to agree - though I didn't realise he was so young! I thought he was like 20. Even more impressive.

He had a really good game. He got lucky a couple of times with his inexperience. The first when he fell on the ball as the attacker had him inside out but he had the presence of mind once he got lucky to play the ball instead of panicking. He also got lucky where he misjudged the bounce of the ball. Saying that he deserved his luck. Looks a great prospect.
As for Kanyuka - he looked crap didn't he? It was like looikng at a very earyl Ifill performance. I do think thuogh that he will come good and that Malpas has plucked out another gem.

Morriso was brill,nice to see someone at the back try and play and look up and pass the ball not just hoooooof!..as for Kanyuka isnt fair really to judge a player coming on as sub when most of the players were going on holiday.

Kanyuka to me, came across as a guy who hadnt played first team football in a long....infact as someone who hadnt played football in a long time. Which is exactly what he was!

Thats good then DON....loved the way the under 9s were signing contracts on the pitch yesterday..think one was only 6 years old!

I don't really think he's suited to a full back position which is what he was playing when he came on, a centre half he looks a lot better.

Agree with most of the comments re Morrison.  Looked our best defender easily today.  Very composed for someone so young and has bags of potential.

He's fucking built like a brick shit house, for a 18 year old (or whatever young age he is).  Looks a real prospect!

i've decided i hate aljofree now, he was dog shit yesterday.

Aljofree is shocking in the air, never realised this until yesterday.  Morrison looked a lot better than him, I know it's only one game but bloody hell Hasney had a shocker.  

I think I'd play Vincent in the centre before HA.

Morrison has lots to learn but he looked miles better than Tozer ever did. Obviously that's only my deduction from seeing him play in one game.

What impressed me the most was that he wasn't afraid to bring the ball down and play it when he could, instead of continously punting the ball without looking up first. For a big lad he seems fairly mobile too.

I agree that Hasney was pretty poor but I don't rate Vincent either.

Vincents very good as centre half though, good at organising, reads the game well, he's an unsung hero.  He kept getting dragged into the centre yesterday due to HA, which meant they had men left over on the back stick.  We need to sort that out.

Hes better in the centre than at left back but I still don't think he's that good.

Agreed he had a good game yesterday and should be commended for managing to play well alongside captain useless (who apparently called Brez a useless cunt during yesterdays game can anyone confirm this?) alongside him. If he continues to develop like he has he will be a good player I think....may even be worth a punt trying Morrison and Ifil together pre-season as it's time for Ifil to become the senior head in defence. If it works it would mean we would have height, strength and mobility in defence which would give a solid foundation to build on.

If he called him that hes an idiot.  How was Brez supposed to save a completely unmarked header.  

On another note, I though Brez did very well yesterday and pulled off some great stops.

I don't think it was for the goal ...apparently during the 1st half Brez picked up the ball and Aljofree then shouted that at him for no apparent reason........some bloody captain. Brez is starting to get back on form now if he continues to get his confidence back and develop especially regarding his kicking then thats keeper and central defence in good shape.

well JPM played well, so we have to find a new scapegoat for the game.

I didnt think Aljofree was that bad yesterday, everyone else seems to. I dont think he was overally troubled and Millwall rarely attacked untill we sat back and even then they didnt have many clear cut chances...

I thought Morrison looked very competent yesterday and lood comfortable on the ball. Some promising signs and hopefully with a bui tmore experience he could comot going to get too over excited but he's almost certainly better than Tozer.

Was impressed with the kid yesterday.  He had a bit of presence about him. Bodes well for next season.

This Morrison will make it if he works hard and listens to old pro's like Vincent and Williams.
