I'm calling early on the Late Night Thread.

Mainly because you all suck recently, everybody seems to be in bed by about midnight. Rubbish.

Weekendness done much interesting or something sideways with the aceness for the win.

took my kids to the natural history museum today.struggled to find anywhere to park and the fuckersmoaned almost all the way round.i was well fucked off!!!

I went to the comedy store in London last night; that was good fun; then spent today stripping wallpaper which wasn't so much fun.

Then watched the Simpsons movie on DVD tonight which was good again.

 Trying to educate your kids is a waste of time...just leave them to get on with a life of substance abuse.  Regular posting on here should tell you that.

I went there with school when I was about 8/9, I had a £1 to spend in the shop and all I could afford to get was a pencil... I wasn't happy. :x Don't really remember much else, apart from a huge whale.

I planted some carrot seeds this afternoon. Well, it was more like chucking a few in a pot with some compost rather than planting, so I doubt if anything will come of them. Still, it made me feel a bit like Tom from The Good Life.

I dunno Reg, I remember going to the Exploratory in Brizzle or maybe it was the Science Museum. Fuck it, I like going places I could press buttons which would do stuff anyway. Oh and train journeys are ace when you're a kid.

i aint been there since i was a kid myself but i remembered it from my childhood.thought they'd enjoy it.
must admit it was fucking rammed(some yummie mummies about though 8)
and the building itself is awesome.but as we had to queue for a look at everything you couldn't stop and look at stuff really.

I watched Full Metal Jacket and laughed quite a lot.
Also watched 3:10 to Yuma and thought it was quality. "Best Western since Unforgiven" - rubbish, it was about a thousand times better than that. Best Western since Outlaw Josey Wales.

I don't think I've ever watched a Western all the way through. Never been something which has interested me. Is it worth starting or is peoples love of the genre just nostalgia for a time when films were less interesting?

I would arriba, I loved it. Proper brutal 'wild west' feel to it.

FB - 3:10 to Yuma does quite a good job of retaining interest without losing much of the atmosphere that Spaghetti Westerns had. It's pretty much a 60's style Western for a modern audience.

I didn't even realise that people bothered with modern Westerns? Is it a few modernish one or two things and the way of I think about it of nobody really making them for 30 years+ pretty accurate? I'm not sure I've managed to completely miss a modern genre of films and don't really remember much being described as Westerns over the last 10 or so years.

Yeah that's pretty much right. If you haven't ever got into a Western, then I wouldn't bother, unless you've only tried watching John Wayne guff. These days the Spaghetti Western is quite an acquired taste, not a lot happens for long periods and scenes drag on for ages, when they wouldn't these days.

I went to the game yesterday, and today I've planted some chillies, and watched a lot of films. just watched flushed away which was quite amusing.

I miss being able to get the red wine in with 20 fags and posting tonight. I've relived it a bit tonight, what with my mum buying me 2 bottles of red and half right on a pack of 10 L&B's (Hero of Old Town Siege reward). Then I used the dregs of my bank account to buy another 10.

It's just made me realise how much I miss the sitting around posting on here, drinking some wine, smoking some fags, and then watching a film when everybody has gone to bed.

Maybe the feeling of loss will help me get a job.

Get a job then you can come out again on random old town drinking / pool sessions.

If only there was a way to get enough money to live a nice lazy lifestyle without doing any work at all.

Anybody on here free Wednesday afternoons? Me and dan went to have a kick around down croft last Wednesday. My unfitness was shocking, I nearly destroyed my right knee within secconds. I still managed to pull off some pretty immense saves. I think I've still got it.

But Wednesday afternoon kickabout down croft. If anybody on here is up for it then shout it out.

If the youth of today aren't entertained by a stuffed duck billed platypus there is no hope for them in my opinion.

Once Upon A Time In The West is one of my favouritest films ever. The harmonica is quality.

Just watched the first scene!  Brilliant haven't seen this for years!  Have charged up the wine glass and watching from the start again.

Bugger didn't realise it was three hours long.  Still good film and not one for people who don't like spagetti westerns
