Title: Showboating
Post by: leefer on Sunday, February 17, 2008, 12:21:03
Well with Man Uniteds Nani taking the mick and showboating against Arsenal,do you think its good for the game, like most fans i spose when a player in your team does it we dont mind but when against its a piss take,it was the norm in the old days when players like Best,Law,Marsh would showboat.Gallas was lucky not to be sent off as he obviously wasnt impressed!

im all for showboating, like Hleb never does it? Fabregas? Henry did it, they just dont want to talk bout the fact they got battered 4-0 so they divert the attention to summat so pathetic, Arsenal are a great team but when losing they are whiney little dirty fucker cunts.

I think it's great. I want to see players showboating. I want to see skill. If the opposition aren't good enough to stop them that's tough on them. You hear people moaning about there being no characters in the game any more but it's hardly surprising when you see a player do something like that and cunts like Wenger and Ferguson have a go at him for it.  I don't understand what their problem is :?

Showboating is ace!

Still sticks in the mind when Gerrard nutmegged Hamaan twice in a row in the 5-1 game  :P

I remember well Terry Fenwick beating the opposition (Team??), and then running back with the ball so the he could do it again.

Really taking the piss and great entertainment.

Just a shame the nutter in the yellow boots tripped and accidentally took him down.

There's several videos on you tube of him doing the same thing and getting smacked fot it.

No doubt his manager encourages it to draw the foul.

Fair play to him I say, if a defender was good enough then he will be able to handle it.

I remember in the Macari days Chris Ramsey stop with the ball and do his laces up. Macari wasn't too chuffed but it went down pretty well with us.

I think its ace!  If you've got the skill then show it off.
