...........and they are the same as this season.

Bound to piss loads of people off, but personally I dont think my early bird renewal in the town end is that bad value at £267 (£11.60 a game)

Details on the official site

I did think they would see sense with the ludicrously expensive matchday tickets though. I think that is the area they lost most fans.

I agree!  Just out of interest, people who already have a season ticket, are you going to renew next year?

I am seriously in two minds which really pains me to say!  :(

Is the picture of the Arkells Stand an impression of how busy it'll be for most games next season?

Im sorry but this is a "thisis" style rant

It says that they are hoping for 4000 season tickets!
and that thay have experienced steady increase on season tickets year in year!

I bet they dont increase this year in fact I have no idea why anyone would buy a season ticket this year at all.

You dont know what players are going to be here.

You do know that there will be less money in wages to replace players that go.

You wouldnt buy a car and not look at the engine would you?  The club are counting on your blind loyalty and are ripping you off into the bargain. So well done season ticket holders for keeping the club running maybe one day the they will repay you.

I did think twice about renewing, but it makes finacial sense (if i went to 17 games next season paying £15 in the TE it would cost as much as my season ticket) and I started to feel guilty about abandoning the club when it needs its hardcore fans most.

I know what you mean Yeovil, to get the "Early bird" prices you have to pay by 31st may. At which point we'll have a squad of about 5

what they dont say is that although they've had an increase in season ticket sales they've had a massive decrease in the amount of matchday tickets sold - so they are still losing money!

these prices aren't successful and the board cant see it. we will get crowds of around 3,500 next year.

I'll tell you what REALLY pisses me off, it's when people quite rightly moan about the ludicrously high prices in the Nationwide Stand and some sanctimonious git comes out with, "Well what's the problem, if you were a proper fan you would just go in the Town End for 15 quid!"

They say "It's only 15 quid" like it's the f******* bargain of the f******* century!!!!!  Oooooooh, we should be sooooooooo grateful - We only have to pay 15 quid to watch complete dross - thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, we are not worthy - I wish self righteous gits like that would f*** off and die quite frankly.

Even at 15 quid, you are talking in the region of a 100 per cent increase in the last 10 years.  My salary in the same period has gone up all of 6 percent.

Do the maths children!!!!!

People won't pay those prices.  As someone else said, it's no good reducing prices for one game, it has to be for the season.

And don't talk to me about what a f****** bargain the f****** Town End is

kid a quid is not economically viable currently.

The club needs all the money it can get NOW.

If the new stadium goes ahead and we sort our debts out, that will be the time for such initiatives.

To try and increase our long term fanbase (which WILL cost money short term) would be very foolish when the club lurches from one cashflow problem to the next.

They were never going to put the prices down, so not increasing them is better than I was expecting to be honest.

There will be a decrease in season tickets this year that is almost guaranteed.

Unfortunately due to the ridiculous pay on the day prices those that don't renew will likely vanish for a large part of the home games.  More regional teams replacing those that involve a trek will mean many people opt for away games over home.

It's a catch 22 that unless the team excels and really succeeds on the pitch it's going to be impossible to tempt non-season ticket holders, new fans and stay-aways on anything other than the odd derby or big game.

What will happen is a slow painful decline in season ticket holders until we hit crunch point.

One saving grace will be to allow King a little muscle in the transfer market.  Alright we don’t have the readies but give him some backing rather than slash the wage even further.

Kid for a quid worked, got me going, and now i've been a season ticket holder for two years. so my dad had to get one, if the kid wants a season ticket, then they've got to get their dad to go to, if the club did it once or twice a season it would get them a bit more money

Anyone that's not read it here is the link to the Trusts statement today:

Quote

Putting this drop into a broader context, as at matchday 21 only Rushden and Diamonds have suffered a worse percentage drop in average attendance in the entire Football League, and they have endured a second successive relegation battle while Town have until recently been mounting a second successive play-off challenge.

Quote

Stats:

Total attendance 2003-04 180334

Average attendance 2003-04 7841

Total attendance 2004-05 (to match 21) 123684

Average attendance 2004-05 5890

Fall in attendance per game 1951 (24.9%)

An average of 2k game!

To be fair the loss of several regional(ish) teams has not helped but it's a real shocker.  What's worse it that figures are set to drop again lord knows by how many but it will be considerable.

Yeah but

Average Attendance 2002/2003 5,440
Average Attendance 2004/2005 5,890

Gain of 450 and we're in a similar position to where we were that season. We were in the playoffs from January onwards last season which increased the average attendance hugely. The Bristol City game alone added on about 350.

How we're doing is always going to be the main factor.

Ben the facts are there for everyone to see.

We have been on  a playoff push nearly all year the prices have stopped people coming.

a 25 percent drop is proof that the pricing  doesnt work.

Stop making excuses for our useless board.

Title: Ticket Prices Announced.........
Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Thursday, April 21, 2005, 20:10:09
I'm not making excuses for the board I think they've got the prices wrong and shouldn't have put them up last year but the main reasons attendances have been lower this year is 'cos we've only been in the playoffs for one home game this year whilst last year it was about 12 and that makes a massive difference.

If prices had stayed the same I doubt the average attendance would be more than 500 more than it has been, 300 or so probably, although perhaps the extra fans would've helped us into the playoffs and increased it that way, who knows.

Very true, results on the pitch will always be the prime motivating factor on attendances.

However

00/01 - 6,198 (20th)
01/02 - 6,393 (13th)
02/03 - 5,440 (10th)

02/03 was a very different year to the current season.  First off the return of Andy King for his first full season in charge.  Not a popular call, then there was the unfortunate incident of starting pre-season in administration.  There was very little expectation as the club endured its record run of defeats but managed to make up places with a late run of form.

In comparison this season started reasonably optimistic despite the usual odd summer shenanigan that we have all come to expect.  Overall it has been reasonably stable but nevertheless disappointing in terms of results on the pitch.

One thing that strikes me is that in both pre-seasons there was a significant increase on ticket prices.  Alright it’s year on year however both sparked probably the biggest outcry in recent years.

Going into 03/04 there was quite a buyout mood with a complete new look squad, people where maybe not warming but getting used to King, and with the success of Sam Parkin things looked to be on the up.  The addition of the cheaper TE tickets took the edge off the usual increase.

We go into next season amid rumours of players leaving, slashed wage budgets and off the back of a largely disappointing year.  I can’t help but think that unless King manages an awe inspiring clearout and re-build we are going to be regularly below 4k on gates.

yeah but you won't be elligible for an NUS card until you are a full time student, which will be september at the earliest i assume, which'll be too late for you to get an early bird renewal season ticket as a student. best to go in and tell them about the loophole you find yourself in. i mean a 16 year old just out of school having to pay full adult price is ridiculous.
