Title: Judith, Judith... Recommend me do a European Easter Break Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, 13:35:50 Chalmers, you carroty skinned old tart.
Anyway, I've got a week at Easter booked off and I’m a little devoid of ideas where to go with the missus and was after a few suggestions. Looking rather unimaginatively at Nice but I’d rather check out something a little different. Chilled, preferably with cheap exchange rates but overall it has to be different and not to long haul. Scandinavia was a maybe although on the whole the beer prices worry me sick. Amsterdam is already booked for March, Krakow and Prague have all been done recently and I’d like to steer well clear of the tourist and stag do traps, which doesn’t exactly make Nice a fit either. Bulgaria is an option I’m mulling but any suggestions appreciated. Muchos Gracias in advance and in return for the winning suggestion I will send a signed copy of Mark Durden Smith forcibly inserting a muddy rugby ball into Judith’s clacker valve number 65 of only a 100 prints. Went there in November and was brilliant. Not expensive at all and can get some top range hotels for good prices on lastminte.com.
Astoria palace with jacuzzi on the top floor overlooking the city. Title: Judith, Judith... Recommend me do a European Easter Break Post by: Ardiles on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, 13:45:11 Copenhagen - lovely, walkable city. Friendly people. Expensive (but very drinkable) beer. Carlsberg Brewery tour was well worth the trip. If flights there look expensive, get a flight to Malmo, Sweden and catch the train or ferry across the water to Copenhagen. (The bridge between Sweden and Denmark is an architectural marvel, by the way. I won't go all geek on you with an explanation...just trust me!)

Title: Judith, Judith... Recommend me do a European Easter Break Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, 15:39:21 The Emerald Isle is close to home so it's been done a lot. Plus if I have to go up that big glass Guiness tower again with a hangover and drink another pint of that black sludge I don’t think I’ll manage to hold the vomit back this time.
Title: Judith, Judith... Recommend me do a European Easter Break Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, 15:43:15 Gdansk was fabulous. Went last weekend, weather was rank but it is a beautiful city steeped in History. The women there are easily the finest I have ever seen, if I ever see the girl working on the information desk at Gdansk airport again I will marry her in an instant!

Title: Judith, Judith... Recommend me do a European Easter Break Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, 20:42:57 Opted for Las Vegas in the end got a stonker of a deal, £550 sheets with 7 nights accommodation.
Sadly the Hooters hotel was vetoed. Anyone have any must do’s in Vegas? I can’t see beyond the hotel (Stratosphere) where I could quite happily live. 4 low stake Holde’m tourneys per day, ridiculous rides, a topless show, bars, clubs and enough food to keep Rick Waller happy after a sex binge. Think I'm going to try and rally the lads for a trip later in the year and stay at Hooters. http://www.hooterscasinohotel.com/ Title: Judith, Judith... Recommend me do a European Easter Break Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, 20:58:13 i wanna go vegas and gamble,

Title: Judith, Judith... Recommend me do a European Easter Break Post by: BANGKOK RED on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, 21:44:36 Casino's are great. Just bear in mind though that they ply you with free alcohol for a reason.
In Poi Pet, Cambodia one time whilst on a visa run I took full advantage of the freebies, and I return the house took a cool G from me courtesy of my wifes credit card. Maybe other people will be more sensible, but the misses and I cancelled her card to stop it from happening again. |
