The ACB have an up and coming replacement that they want to blood (ie Haddin). At this point in time Gilchrist is hampering Haddin's development, just as Healy was hampering Gilchrist's back in the mid to late late 90s.
Am actually a little disappointed that its time for Gilchrist to hang up the gloves. He is the one Australian cricketer that I think is a class act both on and off of the field. More than that, he is one of the few that walks when he knows he's out! Thanks for 8/9 years of class entertainment Mr Church!
