I caught the start of the new series of Torchwood (as I guess some of you did)... Good god can you have a worse start to something. The comic book comic stuff they were doing before Jack(H.) came back was terrible (it's more fun bollocks), the entire episode would have been a disaster but James Marsters was absolutely brilliant. I'm not sure I've ever seen one person bring up a cast of actors that much. He got the character down whilst the rest of them were still playing late night hollyoaks. He might have been a bit Spike-like, but he's fucking good at it so fair play, he's better than welsh bird rolling her eyes and borring yanto(sp?) gay love and jap bird feeling sorry for herself (I would) etc. Title: Torchwood Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 12:49:39 If only you had you're own column in the program. i enjoyed the last series but if it wasn't for james marsters, that episode would have been very poor. far too much homoeroticism and sexual tension - it was like late night hollyoaks as you say. hopefully it'll get better... |
