But given the conditions I think that was common sense, though I'm not sure FIFA allow refs to use common sense so he might be assessed down for it!

I thought he did book Tyson...I may be wrong...it has been known :oops: As for the 'goal', once the ref blew (when it did look like Paynter had stumbeld) the Forest defence and keeper stopped, so maybe Paynter would not have been able to get the shot off in the first place. Why does a player taking a fall have to be yellow card for diving? Football is a contact sport and players do fall over sometimes and theres no wrong doing either way.
Back to the ref, after he ruled out one and we had one stuck in the mud I dont think he could bare to give it. |
