Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: stfc112 on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 21:20:26 He was at the game today.
Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 21:33:14 Meh! Makes sense I suppose
He can come in for Ifil or Aljoffree next time they are out rather than move Vincent in from left back. Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: wheretherealredsare on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 21:41:54 Bit more about a third signing here:
http://www.gazetteandherald.co.uk/sport/swindontown/news/display.var.1979096.0.malpas_set_to_welcome_third_new_arrival.php Could be PK ... And here, with other updates on Coxy and comments about Moses and Ant: http://www.westerndailypress.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=145787&command=displayContent&sourceNode=145780&contentPK=19599739&folderPk=100269&pNodeId=145803 Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: suttonred on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 21:42:48 looked on a few qpr forums, they generally seem disappointed to see him go, as very highly rated, seems to be a victim of their new money and all the incoming transfers, could be a good deal if it happens
Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Batch on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 21:45:54 It may be irrational, but I still worry Ifil will be off before the window closes.
In reality, I guess Aidy Williams doesn't have much more to give playing wise. So we need cover. I guess there is a fair chance Blackburn will be out on loan if this comes off. Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: sonic youth on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 21:49:17 a partnership of aljofree and williams would be a disaster of reeves and viveash proportions...i don't think we'll see williams again this season.
kanyuka's built like a brick shit house and is quick too - ifil mk ii? Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: OOH! Disagree - Vincent's always done a sound job at CB and Nicholas was back to his best at Walsall at LB. That works fine. I didn't say Vincent had not done a good job. What I meant was that it would be a straight swap as opposed to moving Vincent over and bringing in Nicho (and I'm not saying Nicho doesn't do a good job when called on either :? ) I am working on the assumption that it is best to make as few changes as possible to the team at any given time. Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: DMR on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 22:27:02 Fair enough. I think I'd rather have Vincent as captain and centre-half anyway, with Nicho at LB, and Aljofree can jog on.
(I bet thats not well received but hey-ho). Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Bogus Dave on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 22:29:15 I'd agree with you

Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Boeta on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 00:33:50 aljofree is class, his distribution is a little better than jerel's you might say
the term 'jog on' is so cringeworthy i'm cringing. funny that Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Frigby Daser on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 00:45:53 We'll become rudeboy central - Kanyuka was the player who sparked the QPR v China kung fu fight with some less than subtle antics

Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 02:04:25 Good signing by the looks of it. Sounds OK to me anyway. We need another CB with Williams all but finished i think and Blackburn not up to the job.
Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: janaage on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 11:38:25 does anyone know who the black fella with the white mohichan in a town tracksuit was in the corporate area. He looked like Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man.
As for Hasney, I'd be gutted to see him dropped, as I think he's had a blinder this season. For the first time in ages I have every condince in Brez, Comminges, Ifil, Hasney and JV. Very good back line that. We may be a striker and a midfielder away from a very good, footballing, side. Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 11:41:54 It was Wesley Snipes
Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Frigby Daser on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 11:54:02 It was Cliff Puffett in fancy dress.
As for Kanyuka, rudeboy or not, the QPR fans do seem upset - if he is that good, could be a tidy bit of business: http://www.qprnet.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4994&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15 Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: BANGKOK RED on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 21:00:28 Quote Kanyuka was and still is very highly though of by Rangers fans, just very unlucky with injuries and after being in and doing well in our first team he got injured right around the time we got bought out and brought in 6 defenders pushing him way down the pecking order.......... definately good enough for the CCC, and Prem clubs were looking at him last season so if he can stay fit will be brilliant in League 1 Nicked from another site, looking good eh chaps and chapesses? Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Berniman on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 21:08:01 Posted this on TFF and got a few replies from QPR fans!

Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: sheepshagger on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 22:04:46 My mate called me earlier - Big QPR fan andseason ticket holder -said he was their best Centre Half by miles last season before he was injured - absolutely gutted to be losing him......Good enough I say !!!
Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Nemo on Sunday, January 20, 2008, 23:29:06 Quote from: "Bushey Boy" We certainly cannot be called racist! :D Yeah, we've got a bit of "affirmative action" going on at the moment haven't we. This Kanyuka chap looks promising, him and Ifil would be a scary proposition for any striker. Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Luci on Monday, January 21, 2008, 09:08:34 Another view:
Quote I hear rumours that Swindon are going to pick up recently released QPR full-back Pat Kanyuka. This kid is a FULL INTERNATIONAL for DR Congo and will be a definite premiership quality defender in years to come. I was astounded to hear we let him go (most likely because he's had 15 months off with a career threatening injury), I hope you guys pick him up he will be a star. Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: wheretherealredsare on Monday, January 21, 2008, 09:36:08 Be interesting to see how long his contract will be, presumably after he passes a medical. Not wanting to be a wet blanket because it looks like a smart bit of business, but reading between the lines I hope his injury history hasn't spoilt his potential.
Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: suttonred on Monday, January 21, 2008, 09:41:01 doesn't say on the os just he's signed guess there will be more details later

Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Miles Mayhem on Monday, January 21, 2008, 10:29:25 signed up till the end of the season. i think this move will add some much needed depth to the centre back spots. very pleased

Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Batch on Monday, January 21, 2008, 10:56:06 Short term deal seems sensible. Nice to have another option, every time Hasney doesn't get straight back up after a challenge I cringe a bit, though Vincent does OK in the middle.
Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Mark D on Monday, January 21, 2008, 11:54:59 He is a good, young Central Defender, and with good coaching will, I'm sure, prove to be an asset to STFC. Still learning his trade and had a difficult time with niggly injuries over the past few months, but a good acquisition for the club.

Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Monday, January 21, 2008, 12:28:46 Great signing. A shame we didn't get him for longer though because he could get snapped up at the end of the season if he does well. But i'm pleased with that. More cover is what we needed at CB.
Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: Ironside on Monday, January 21, 2008, 13:21:45 Living in deep QPR country, the overwhelming opinion is that there's lots of potential there. He was very good when he had the little run the side before injury. The fact that QPR are loaded now is probably the only reason they haven't persevered with him.
Seems like a good signing if he can stay fit. Title: Patrick Kanyuka Post by: red macca on Monday, January 21, 2008, 13:24:41 At this rate we could also qualify for next years African nations cup :D

"you'll never beat kanyuka" would be a good one. by the way, 2 own goals on saturday and none by des walker. forest fans must be amazed.
