if fitton wants to get us in the championship then signing watford rejects isn't going to get us there. if they're not good enough to play in the championship, they're not good enough for us.

if these new owners are so minted then they ought to show some proper ambition and bring in players who can help us succeed, regardless of price. a loan signing and an undisclosed/nominal fee stinks of penny pinching.

I'm not disappointed, to be honest I don't really care either way had we signed them either way.

I'd rather we paid money though on someone in this league who is a standout performer in their current side - proven at this level rather than a young 'un as likely to be crap as they are worthwile.

McNamee, from what I have heard could be a real crowd pleaser, a bit lightweight maybe but that doesn't mean that he can't scare the shite of of defences when he has the ball. Beside's, if he get's 44 matches under a championship team that wins promotion he must have been doing something right!!!.

Dunno about moses, He sounds quick but that's all I know about him (Asides from his attitude).

Anyway, there was talk of 3 - 4 signings and so we may still more yet, plus the cox bid is still on the table.

I thought there may be some more news on a few of ours out on loan though.......

I never ever take any notice what other fans have to say about players we have signed as it invariably turns out to be a load of shit.

If a League 1 team signs a player from a team in a higher league, it's pretty obvious that that player has not been performing fantastically well, week in week out, for the first team. If he had, then he wouldn't be dropping down to L1. But that clearly does not make him a crap player as we have seen time and time again. The latest examples being Corr and Cox.

We seem to go through this with almost every player sign. People see fit to pass judgement on a player before he's even kicked a ball and when they clearly know absolutely nothing about him.  I don't get it.

Remember when all the Leicester fans said that Jon Stevenson was brilliant and they couldn't believe they were letting him go? That still cracks me up.

sturrock was looking at both these players last year according to the adver but my guessing is they would have not dropped down to league two. i seem to remember sturrock mentioning a few times about that problem
