Title: Word's that don't look right! Post by: BANGKOK RED on Thursday, January 17, 2008, 18:31:34 You know what I mean, sometimes you write/type a word and even though it is spelt correctly for some reason it just doesn't look right.
Mine is weather: as in "Weather or not", for some reason I can't help but to think that the correct spelling is "Wether or not". The definition of the word wether is actually: : Quote a male sheep castrated before sexual maturity; also : a castrated male goat . Which just wouldn't work at all would it?.So what about yours? Yep...think I'd have gone for ou rather than the correct uo. manoeuvre... I always have to check. Think its meant to be a dipthong, which generally seem to have disappeared from spelling.
