For the first time ever, I know something serious about the takeover that most people don't know.

I know, with absolute certainty, who one of the un-named investors, whose named has never been mentioned once, is.

Obviously I am sworn to total secrecy, so none of you bastards will ever believe me. However all I can say is that the guy sold his business for a massive amount of money and is minted on a scale that makes Edward Wray look poor.

This may be off no interest to any of you, but it makes me feel good that for once I know something!!

Two things that wouldnt be happening if the takeover wasn't going to go through.

If Fitton et al want to takeover they'll make it happen. If they want to fanny around until the end of the month then Fitton is not as clever a businessman as he makes out to be.

Scented candles, they're supposed to be quite calming as well.

A couple of points about investors -
1. just because they are worth x billion doesn't guarentee much of it will head STFC's way
2. The last thing we want is names being released during the transfer window as we'll get mugged off by clubs upping the price on anyone we want to buy/loan.

I just checked my facts, as my last post was purely from memory. Not a bad effort on my part, even if I was wrong.....

axs is right, they lost to West Ham in the 2005 playoff Final. They made the playoffs the following year, but didn't make the final. They just missed out on making the playoffs last season, having been there or thereabouts all season - finished 7th and missed out by one point.

Not exactly been knocking on the old promotion door at all really.....
