Title: Peacock & Easton
Post by: DV on Tuesday, January 1, 2008, 16:45:50
Peacock was obviously taken off because he was injured, hope it isnt serious. I hope all the doubters finally realise how much he brings to the team. We've been much better side he returned from injury.

Im guessing Easton also went off at half time injured, maybe something to do with the bang on the head in the first half? Again hope its nothing long term.

These two are our best central midfield partnership and they both battle like their life depends on it. We'd be worse off without them, thats for sure!

Both were having very good games I thought today and Pook looked about 10 yards off the pace so hope they are both fit for Barnet

Pook was his usual self.

Lots of work and getting stuck in, then wasting possesion

Easton took a smack on the head before half time and was suffering from concusion although he had recovered after the game enough to have a quick chat.

Peacock took a knock to his ankle and has a bruised nerve which is giving him pins and needles in his foot.

i think peacock might not be fully recovered from his virus either.

i'm sure they'll both be fit for the weekend.

Both quality players, great partnership they have going. They were everywhere in the first half.

The same can generally be said of Peacock though. He was excellent at Bournemouth mind so maybe his use of the ball is getting better.

Pook was playing a lot further up the pitch than usual due to the formation changes

Hopefully he will get a game Saturday

I hope not, whatever you think he isnt our first choice for central midfield.

I'd much rather Peacock and Easton recovered and they played Saturday. Even if it is a FA Cup game.

if neither are fit, i'd have no qualms with pook slotting in.

easton, for me has been our best player this season so far.
i agree with dv that him and peacock are our best midfield pairing.

pook being 10 yards off the pace is a considerable improvement on his usual performance.

I thought both were anonymous at Bournemouth-but both were good yesterday

Same here.

If Peacock and Easton are both fit they should play on Saturday. If not, then I'd play Pook and have no problem doing so
