Title: New Manager
Post by: JPC82 on Saturday, December 22, 2007, 18:17:13
Not sure how reliable but my dads mates brother in law (u got that?) is good friends with Paul Bodin and he apparently told him when Fittons deal is finalised he will appoint Martin Ling as manager with Paul Bodin as assistant.

suppose that could possibly mean someone like Adi Viveash as youth team boss maybe? i cant see Byrne staying coaching the youths after gettin a taste of 1st team management

bodin scouts for orient already so it makes sense.also i see no reason why byrne will leave his post as head of youth.
i'll be happy with those appointments if they come to fruition

Doubt it, seeing as he is a youth team coach at town.

i can't remember who told me or where i heard it but i distinctly remember hearing that bodin was a candidate for the assistant manager role.

so to coin the phrase of the ex-trust secretary "it fits with what i've heard"

Bodin himself has mentioned it a few times in the Adver.

It's a natural time for Ling to move on - been there long enough now. Ideal change for him

i stated in my first post why Byrne could leave as youth team boss, he obviously wants to be a 1st team manager, as he has stated and wants the Swindon job, to go from 1st team boss back to youth level is a big drop, and as usually happens when a new manager takes over at a club the guy who was in temporary charge doesnt stay for long, like Iffy at Gillingham.
