Considering that I started this thread then I guess that I should add some substance to it.

Seriously, I can't see this deal coming this far and failing and with no disrespect to Mr. Wray, I think that should Mr. Fritton have been there today then we would all be celebrating right now.

Should it fall through at such a late stage then surely, and without a doubt only the current board will have to take the full blame for it, and they surely know that for themselves.

Personally I think that DM, SSW and Co. know that a deal is inevitable and are therefore tyring to squeeze every last drop out of it that they can. Hence the hold up.

They probably just want us to wait an extra 24 hours just to piss us all off.

I'm an eternal optimist. The deal will go through and that is all i think on the matter.

Although i do also look forward to celebrating. Alot. I'm very excited and cannot wait.

Please don't post in this thread Bart or OneAndrewFitton. I've read your thought about 90,000 times in the past few months. I have restrained myself well, of late, so please show equal restraint. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

I'm optimistic if the following quote is actually true and not some adver-invention

Consortium member Jeremy Wray is confident of a conclusion, along with a frustrated TrustSTFC chairman Paul Davis.
"I am 100 per cent convinced the deal will go through but it is a fitting epitaph for the current regime to go out in a shambles," said Davis.

EDIT: IGNORE!!! - JUST READ THE OTHER THREAD!!!

Ladies and Gent's.

You never thought that it would go smoothly did you? The current board have  been incompetent fools for the last seven years or so and so why would they stop all of a sudden.

In my heart of heart's I still think that it will go through. Not today, but at 4.59 tomorrow just as the HMRC chappie is about to knock on the door. Come on, this is STFC after all and it is just another example of the stressful high's and low's the we all seem to have a masachistic affection for.

That's what I think anyway.
