Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: ronnie21 on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 19:28:58 Apparently somebody was being shown around the CG yesterday, today the current chief exec. of Brentford resigns with immediate effect. Coincidence or am I reading too much into this?

Coincidence or am I reading too much into this? Think your reading too much into it TBH as they are a bit of a club in Crisis also so probably quit more as a result of that... Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 19:33:16 Think your reading too much into it, I mean if the new chief exec was smart, why would you leave a job you already have for a job that MAY be open with Fitton ? There is still plenty of time for it to fuck up.

Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: ronnie21 on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 19:36:27 Gary, you are probably correct, but if Fitton does complete in the next few days we will be left without a chief exec. and a general manager (we bloody well hope).

True, I would think Fitton based on what he has said would bring in a professional who has worked in the higher divisions if possible. I honeslt dont feel Fitton will want just another lower league chief exec. I actually do feel under him we can go places. Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 19:50:56 Official site however this could just be a tactic for clubs to raise their offer, here is the link . http://www.swindontownfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/PreMatchPress/0,,10341~1190081,00.html
Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: BANGKOK RED on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 20:01:40 Right, so a new Cheif exec being shown around the club, Byrne being told NOT to sell Tozer ect.
I am beginning to suspect that the paperwork might actually be completed and is sat in a safe somewhere just waiting for Fitton to come back to sign it! Could somebody please correct my train of thought here as I fear that I may be setting myself up for a huge dissapointment. Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 20:05:56 Still wont believe it until Fitton says it is done....... Even if the club put out a realease I wouldnt believe it yet.... remember BEST holdings... Once Fitton says its done, its done.
Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: red_army on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 20:28:27 RS have also been reporting that the deal is set to be signed tomorrow (fri). I for one will shed a little tear if it all goes through - Shear relief that our club is surviving :>)

Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: Frigby Daser on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 20:58:29 Can't believe it until I see a Companies House page with Fitton's name on and Diamandis'/Wills and any name they hide behind off it for the club and holding company.
I've still got a conspiracy theory at the back of my head that won't go away. I would literally cry with happiness if ths went through Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: axs on Thursday, December 13, 2007, 20:58:36 *Slap*
hope that got the double posting and optimism out of your system. Title: New Chief Exec. No mention of him going just Bob....and as we know he's gone before, only to return like a bad smell from a partially blocked drain. Who in their right mind would want Sandy hanging about.....other than on a gibbet ? Title: New Chief Exec. If this goes tits up now, Diamandis and SSW have got nowhere to hide - from the creditors, or from the fans. I would personally rip their entrails from their guts with my fingernails if they let this club die, and I'm sure I'm not alone. So I'm optimistic too, so can somebody give me a virtual slap? Title: New Chief Exec. Post by: OneAndrewFitton on Friday, December 14, 2007, 01:30:46 I'm not very optimistic, i've heard a few things and i'm just not convinced, wouldn't surprise me one bit if it collapsed again, i hope that doesn't happen but when it comes to Wills/Diamandis you can never be sure.
