I am not trying to defend what that did which is simply not possible nor would i want to. But it seems to me that thier are two choice one leave them in prison or second hide the fuckers as we are doin. If we jsut let them out people will jsut try and kill which they deserve but as a socity we haev chosent not to have captial punshiment and no socity gives the death sentence to kids not even iran!!! so we have to abbied by the they have served there time shit and therefore give them protection. I'm not entrily sure what point i am trying to make as on the one hand I have the feeling of wanting to kill them but on the other i have the feeling that even mosters have rights maybe even a second chanc (althoiugh not these to eveil fuckers). why are they being let out early? should people who commit crmies as childeren be forgiven when they become adults or should they once they grow up be punshiment for what they did as children? should we bring back the death pentaly?

i surpose the thing that annoys me is the people who are upp in arms about them being let out etc the law applies to everyone (even cuunts like these two) and we can not pick and choose when to apply laws and when not otherwise whats the point of law? I surpose my law training is comeing out in the fact that i see things on a factaul basis and try to ingore emtion which is not always the best way but that is mostly how the law works fact and figures!

still not sure what my point was and i am sure i will get slated for this post but i feel better for ranitng.

just to be clear i am not defending these eveil fuckers (what they did is unforgiveable and pure eveil hopefully somebody will find them and then they will see how shit live is!!!!) I am just questioning the socity and the process under which they were dealt with.

They were only children themselves - it was a terrible, terrible crime but these were messed up lads and they've served their time.

They were released years ago by the way so not sure where you got the first bit from?

Also, i find it more than a little amusing that it's assumed they have been rehabilitated.

Making those 2 very fucked up kids do time, in amongst other troubled youngsters, at such an impressionable age, means they will have come out worse than they went in.

I don't believe in capital punishment and also don't believe in these youngsters being killed in revenge, however. Any crime of this nature, especially involving children, is despicable and if someone chooses to take revenge, i'd certainly ind myself feeling very happy.

The fundamental flaw with capital punishment is that innocent people get executed by the state as often as rapists and murderers. I'd be very uneasy living in a country that has that.

Back on topic - Was there not a Programme on channel four the other night called Boy A which was roughly based on the idea of kids that has committed a horrid crime then had new identitys etc? did anyone watch it? It looked good but I missed it

Yes I watched it,well most of it.It made me sad :(  certainly made me think about these situations differently.

very difficult one this.
the case asks so many questions.
how two 10 year olds could do what they did to the toddler beggars belief.
and the flaws in our juditial system are endless.
nothing will cure the hatred and hurt that bulgers family will feel.
basically i dont think there is a right or wrong answer to issues like this.
its by no means cut and dried in any way.

Ben, Is there any eveidence to say that they were fucked up? What they did was fucking terrible and they will never be rehabilitated in my eyes.

Foggy - the fact that they will never be rehabilitated is indicative of just how useless our judicial system is, surely?

These were children themselves and if locking them away for years has served absolutely no purpose other than to leave them festering in a cell then there's something very wrong with this country.

What i'm saying is that although i disagree with them being killed by the state and, feel revenge isn't great, deep down i think i'd smile should someone take revenge.

I know it's a slight contradiction, but it's like when sturrock left, i didn't really care, but deep down i did find myself happy at his first loss.

They've been out for over 6 years without any apparent incident, which shows to me that it was ok to release them. I'm strongly against punishment just for some sort of media hyped blood lust.

Fair point Dave, But what evidence is there to prove that they were fucked up? I do agree that putting them in a YOI has served no purpose what so ever but what are the alteratives?

I just feel empathy for the parents. Those 2 boys are clearly very fucked up. I hope they learned from their atrocities, which it appears they have.

I'm agreeing with DMR here. They spent some of the most important years of there life in prison, from 10-18. I'm pretty sure in that time they were made aware of what they'd done. By the time they'd got out they'd spent nearly half their life in prison, and more than half there life that they'd remember. I'm pretty sure their heads aren't held high.

If years 0 - 10 had been properly taken care of, in a normal family way, he'd still be here.

There's been dozens of contradicting stories about what they are doing in the press. Including Heroin, Born again Christians, Murdering someone in Ireland, Engaged to a girlfriend who doesn't know who he is, Engaged with a kid etc.

back to the topic having considered the comments made and thought about it for the last few hours and having watched that boy a thing the other day my hope is that the eveil fuckers have had a chance at a normal life but are so fucked up with guilt parnoir etc that they can't enjoy it that way there punshiment last for as long as they live and them being scared for life is at least a little bit of justice as suffering for a lifetime is better than being quickly and painlessly put to death which would have been far to an easy way out for these two.

It's like they say though, they sure as hell knew it was wrong by trying to get the evidence destroyed. Although it is fair to assume that they may not have truly understood the consequences and the long term implications.

Capital punishment would only make the judicial system worse.

What they did was disgusting and I can see why anyone connected to the family of the child would want revenge. I can even see the argument for keeping them locked up forever.

Unfortunately there will always be sick fuckers out there, so it probably makes more sense to do the whole deterrent/rehab thing. If people could come out of prison better people then at least there's hope for society.

I make exceptions on these two.  Read the case about them.  The justice system needs a total overhaul, however in cases such as these the rule book should be thrown out due to the fact these people do not understand law and rules.  Murder is one thing, doing what they did and other people such as fred west and paedos is a total new ball game.
