The speed limits need to be reviewed to reflect the amount of work the car industry has done, safety wise. I would be interested to see the accident record of Britain compared to Germany where the limits are more liberal.

I totally agree they do need reviewing but until they are we just have to live with it really! The autobarns are alot less busy than our motorways, so you can't make a realisitic comparison. One interesting thing I was told by a german though, is that because they are allowed to drive as fast as they like on the autobarns, they generally respect the speed limits elsewhere.
