Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: A Gent Orange on Friday, December 19, 2008, 12:46:52 That is the first time I've seen a picture of the sainted Lloyd and blimey I wouldn't. Luckily there is someone who will?
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Batch on Friday, December 19, 2008, 12:52:33 Seriously., I hope we get to see him play tomorrow. JPC views aside he sounds very promising.
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Tails on Friday, December 19, 2008, 12:54:34 Looked a cut above when I've seen him for the yoofs.
Big jump though. Good luck Lloyd. Make JPC proud. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: DV on Friday, December 19, 2008, 14:26:18 all I can say is about fucking time.
might as well get some use out of him before he goes. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: janaage on Friday, December 19, 2008, 14:27:44 Is he actually making his debut tomorrow he is? Gutted to be missing the match now. Hope he does well and has a decent run in the team, the arrogant little bugger. Just what we need at the moment, someone who believes in himself.

Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Batch on Friday, December 19, 2008, 15:06:53 Probably on the bench ^^^^ what he said ^^^^. He's in the squad, that is all. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: jayohaitchenn on Friday, December 19, 2008, 15:23:13 Shit, i've just noticed this one.
How long has the news monkey been working? Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Batch on Friday, December 19, 2008, 15:24:28 Shit, i've just noticed this one. How long has the news monkey been working? It isn't, some dick resurrected a thread from 2007 Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Friday, December 19, 2008, 15:24:57 He looks like a more pointy Lewis Hamilton. and more spotty and no cool PCD girlfriend Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Fred Elliot on Friday, December 19, 2008, 17:16:59 "The youth team right winger is vying for a starting slot with fellow youngster Chris Allen,"
Strange I was expecting Allen to be involved tomorrow as well Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Bennett on Friday, December 19, 2008, 18:32:13 i think chris allen is a good player, i'm confused how someone who's pretty one dimensional like pook can get ahead of him
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: janaage on Friday, December 19, 2008, 19:11:48 Because Bennett he's "lightweight". Well according to some anyway. I'd give him another go in the firsts, least he tries to play the game.
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: JPC82 on Friday, December 19, 2008, 19:17:28 no doubting his technial ability but playing a 442 where he would be 1 of the central midfielders he hasnt got the strength and tackling to make an impact, thats why when hes played it has been when we have had 3 central midfielders so the other 2 can do all the tackling and chrissy can just spray the ball about.
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: dell boy on Friday, December 19, 2008, 19:41:31 I hope he plays, god do we need to change the midfield.
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Bennett on Friday, December 19, 2008, 20:03:42 i know the excuses but pook doesn't put himself about and peacock can't pass.
timlin, easton and allen can when the wind blows the right way though. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: janaage on Friday, December 19, 2008, 20:11:53 no doubting his technial ability but playing a 442 where he would be 1 of the central midfielders he hasnt got the strength and tackling to make an impact, thats why when hes played it has been when we have had 3 central midfielders so the other 2 can do all the tackling and chrissy can just spray the ball about. his set pieces could help us out a bit too. I'd have Morrison back in, use his throw and tell the strikers and Peacock to attack his throws instead of softly allow the keeper centre halves have it their own way. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: JPC82 on Friday, December 19, 2008, 20:12:39 u cant play him for his set piece delivery, McGoverns is better thans chrissy anyway
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Fred Elliot on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 11:16:52 Confirmed Lloyd not on bench today but as part of the squad to gain matchday experience with the firsts
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Bennett on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 17:31:58 is that a positive in the current environment?
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: DV on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:06:43 exactly what we were lacking the last 20 minutes.
Would have been the perfect chance to get him on and to see what he can do. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Arriba on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:24:30 dont think playing him today would have done him or the team any good at all.
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: JPC82 on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:38:26 dont think playing him today would have done him or the team any good at all. hes something different, look at the bench we had, Corr wont do anything that Peacock wasnt doing, Pooky wont create nothing, Blair is fucking shit, they wont be many/if any footballers in the country as quick as Lloyd, we was what we lacked Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Fred Elliot on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:39:39 I for one would have liked to have seen Allen been given a prod today
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Arriba on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:40:56 are mcgovern and macca not creative then? throwing macklin in today would have been a massive gamble for the team and the player.i dont think it is the right time for him at all
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Samdy Gray on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:41:17 I for one would have liked to have seen Allen been given a prod today Ooo-err. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: JPC82 on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:44:50 and wrecking a talent-loose cannon could have fucked up on two counts Morrison and Callum have been playing in this shit team, hasnt wrecked them has it Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Barry Scott on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:45:24 Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Arriba on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:45:56 both have played in the reserves and prepared.
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Arriba on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:48:55 are you macklin jcp?
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: DV on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 19:59:19 McNamee created fuck all today, like he does most games.
I've not seen this loose cannon side of Lloyd but fuck me, he is a good player, he has premiership clubs looking at him - so he must somewhere have something about him. I find it biazare a player who is being tracked by some top premiership teams cant get a game in our shower of shite. 20 minutes to go. 3-2 needing to get back into the game. He would have come on and ran at the Yeovil defenderds with a bit of pace, something we lack upfront. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: JPC82 on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 20:00:49 spot on DV hes something different, we dont have no one explosive and lightning quick as Lloyd
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: ronnie21 on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 20:28:28 McNamee created fuck all today, like he does most games. As I said a month or so ago Macca is a luxury player. On his day one of the best left wingers in the league - if not the best - but if he is not on song we are a 10-man team at best. Unfortunately today was not one of his best games, but like most of the others I guess it is a confidence thing.Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: DV on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 20:32:18 As I said a month or so ago Macca is a luxury player. I totally agree, its also the reason Macklin would have been the perfect replacement to. We'd have kept some sort of shape as well. To be fair DV-it was a cracking cross from Mc that Cox should have buried in the first half.He also was unlucky with one curling effort second half.I think the problem with him is that he simply doesnt get enough of the ball. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: DV on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 21:53:24 The only one that sticks out in my mind today was the one Cox headed wide.
However, I'd expect the best left winger in league one as some of our fans claim to put in more than one or two decent crosses a game. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: adje on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 22:02:45 Yeah you're right but "one or two" is more than "fuck all" (call me a pedant!)
Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: dell boy on Saturday, December 20, 2008, 22:06:40 Cox should have scored from that cross, it was a perfect delivery.
McNamee's shot was inches wide ... I would play him every game without a doubt. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: axs on Sunday, December 21, 2008, 00:49:06 Morrison and Callum have been playing in this shit team, hasnt wrecked them has it Calm down Jase, I think our youngsters have been among the better players recently, Kennedy has done a good job, better than Smith today IMO. Would have liked to have seen Lloyd get a go, especially when we were trying to play 4 strikers on the pitch, leaves no-one who can actually put a ball in. Title: Re: Macklin competing for senior debut Post by: Simon Pieman on Sunday, December 21, 2008, 04:01:13 and more spotty and no cool PCD girlfriend I'm sure any of the local girls would surpass the slutty cunt drivel that those 'singers' record. |
