Someone on MOS posted the flowing info you may want to check out, but I guess it isn't that much of an issue.

Looks like its £47 each on the train. Takes 3 hours going via Fenchurch St to Southend Central, should be able to knock a bit of time off from the tube cos they always give you an hour to do it in.

Guys, watch your timings for this one, the weekend rail news on teletext states that it will be a bus from Swindon to Didcot!! All Temple Meads trains to and from Paddington run via Newbury as do the South Wales trains it would appear as Parkway is not being served either.

If you go from Liverpool street the Southend train runs to Wickford and theres a bus service from there to Prittlewell station which is a 5 minute walk to the stadium. FYI
