Title: email fraudsters
Post by: oxford_fan on Monday, April 11, 2005, 00:05:54
what kind of a lowlife bastard makes their money that way? just got an email pretending to be from paypal, wanting me to log in.

anyone that falls for them is a bit dumb though, they're not hard to spot with a simple check of the link or email address. but the people that do it deserve george michael to be set loose on their bodies.

I've had one from my bank asking for my card no, account no, sort code and even pin number!!!

I don't understand how people can really fill them in, and then moan they've been ripped off.

I love the Nigerians who send the scam letters.  House mate is a relationship manager for overseas big accounts and he gets the odd idiot thinking they are still genuine.

It's an old trick we used to use it to scam Hotmail passwords and browse through peoples accounts.

Golden rule is if anything from an email asks you for details of any sort don't touch.  Ways around the address nowadays so it looks legit.
