Many on this forum might argue that league 2 is the only level he can play at but today i thought he played total class, spread the ball, and passed out wide to open up the play.
In my eyes much better than Adams, and looked the better out of the two central midfielders (Easton)

We played a league two team though...

(Although, in all fairness Pook looked very good today. My MOTM.)

didn't go today, but have always said he's not given the credit he deserves.has his flaws but gives his all, and is better than credited by too many of our fans.

I thought he looked like he was playing for his place in the team. Did exactly what a central midfielder should - tackled, passed the ball well, kept it simple when he needed to and made a couple of decent cross field passes.

all he needed was to score a goal and he'd have put in the perfect all-round performance.

absolutely brilliant, can't begin to say how impressed i was with him today. wycombe certainly weren't a shit team either (except up front)

Him and Easton next week then?

pook was MOM for me, Tozer did OK but he's not about to replace Jerel. Easton had a few nice touches but had an average game. Zaboub looks ok going forward and put in a couple of tackles but I still worry about his defensive capabilities against decent strikers.

Pook was quality today ... hope he gets a good run in the team now and the crowd give him the support he deserves

To be honest I'd change the midfield for Leeds. With Commingues and Peacock on the wings we'll get torn apart!

Based on performances at Wycombe I'd go for

Roberts - Pook - Easton - Zaboub

I'd also be tempted to start with Barry Corr again because he was close to being my MOTM yesterday. I said I'd like to see Corr and Paynter and it worked very well. Won't be complaining if Cox comes back in though

Like I say, I think Peacock will be on the bench with Pook and Easton in the centre. And after yesterday that would be the right decision imo

Pook definatley surprised me yesterday, his performance was all but faultless. Deserves to keep his place for the trip to Leeds.
I'd like to see:
J Smith, Aljofree, Ifil (or Blackburn if unfit), Zaboub
McGovern, Pook, Easton, Roberts
Corr and Paynter.

I think Peacock will keep his place as Sturrock raves about his work rate and how good he is in the air, but he is no good out wide it should be the centre or the bench for him.

I'd also be surprised if Jack Smith walked straight back in, Commingues has done ok in his absence and it may make him even better knowing Smith is chomping at the bit for his place back.

Peacock will never be dropped.

Pook plays better away than he does at home.  Probably something to do with the amount of knobjockey's who get on his back as soon as he makes a mistake at the CG.

Peacock will be handy against Leeds I think, and is probably more likely to start than Pook. I really do hope we have McGovern and Roberts on either wing though, no idea why but I can see Roberts really causing some damage at Elland Road.

Pook is good. People are cunts about him. I swear some people just watch him in a match and nothing else. They love to see him miss a pass or fuck something up, it's truly pathetic. If we have a bad game, Pook will be singled out, when often not being the worst. Even when he plays well he gets slated, i've even heard people saying "ffs pook" and the like when he's not even the one that made the bad pass. The poor kid can't do any right.

Pook deserves a lot better than the treatment he gets with us and it will probably be good for him and his career if he could get a move away from us.

Despite the fact that i feel we need him and he is one of the more valuable members of the squad, i'd like to see him move on and excel just to show our fans that he isn't that bad.

I feel sorry for him and would love it if he gave the crowd a wanker sign if he were to go. The sad truth is he won't ever be given anything but disrespect by our fans and that's a real shame.

I think Barry Scott is the TEF version of Michael Pook.

Some people think he's a cunt, but I think he's an alright bloke. Most of the time he's just your regular poster. Now and again he'll have a moment of inspiration and post some amazing rant, then other times he'll post a load of bollocks.

If anyone had spoken to me like that, i'd think they're a cunt too. As i say, i wasn't waving fingers, just generalising. He gets a rough deal, but in your instance, you'd have every right to kick the cunt in the teeth.

i don't give a shit if he's the nicest bloke on earth or a total and utter cunt. judging purely on his performances on the pitch this season, he's played well and has been one of more consistent players.

If someone could learn him how to compose himself, look up then find a red shirt 95% of the time he's be a good player.

Ah, of course I forgot these days midfielders are judged on how many games they play and not how good they actually are!

Regardless of his age and missing the odd game injured. He is a better play than Pook and always will be.

He certainly missed tooooo many games for us last season, but that doesnt make him any less of a player.

Plus, he played 17 games last season for us and has played 17 games already this season. He hasnt scored yet though!

why keep him if he's not going to play though. maradona will always be a better player than pook, despite fatbury saying otherwise, but you wouldn't want him now would you.
