my only experience of casts was when i shagged my knee, i still limp now every now and then. i suppose it depends what you've done to it, you broke it didnt you? I had a cast for six months and my leg (which ain't big to start with)was literally just a bone, all th muscle wasted away. comes back quick fella, just be brave with it and force the issue, best way to recover...
