actually looked like a footballer tonight, thought he played well and its the first time he's looked decent for Town.

I guess having not played much he was knackered when he came off.

The cynical part of me cant help but think he's played well tonight because his contracts up soon?

Was very surprised to see him on the pitch but thought he did really well.

Adams did play well today. He read the game well today. Got stuck in. The guy sitting me behind me would probably disagree. He was giving him stick all 2nd half or until he came off.

Would of liked Roberts to come on for the last 15 instead of Peacock.Apart from lots of running and winning a few headers, I really dont see what else he offers at the moment. Doesnt create much,doesnt stop much getting past,doesnt even threaten to score much. To me, thats a midfielders job (although he was stuck out on the left tonight so will let him off today).
But hey, football is all about opinions and everyone has a different one.

If Adams wasn't playing we would have lost today.

well personally I thought Adams was diabolically bad ... how on earth he stayed on so long I dont know .. couldnt pass except crab like .. couldnt tackle .. lack of pace .. AWFUL

should have been hooked with at least half an hour to go

Adams did well till he obviousley got tired.

Made numerous tackles - he's the best midfield tackler at the club - and broke up play fairly effeciently.

as you mention Pook .. he was better in 5 mins than Adams had been all game ..

I thought Adams played his best game for us last night, he did break up play well and made sure he did his best in trying to keep possession with simple passing.

Not sure he's got the athleticism to keep himself in the middle ahead of Peaks and Easton but for me he showed he's a worthwhile member of the squad.

Glad some people recognise Adams' contribution. He's not an attack minded player by any means, but he was useful last night and I actually think Sturrock was quite sly in starting him... Did his job perfectly, and not bad considering he hasn't played for however long!

He gets an ok from me as well.Dont remember him giving the ball away too much.Roberts should have definitely come on 20 mins before he did-could have replaced either JP or Peacock,neither of whom performed anything like a wide player should.

Probably because they spent most of the time falling over!

He's got to play somewhere as he is the emergency goalie!  :)

I rarely slate players but i also thought Adams was useless, i couldn't believe he lasted so long. Pook is far better.

To appreciate Adams you need to watch him off the ball and the positions he takes up on the pitch. He got a slagging on here after Charlton, but he just sat in front of the centre backs that night. Charlton only went ahead when they realised at half time that they weren't going to have any luck through the middle and went down the side of us.
