I'm up to number 3. What does it mean by .Extract the files to the data folder? Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, November 5, 2007, 19:47:48 It's a zip file, a type of compressed file. You need to uncompress it. If you download it and right click on it there should be an option to extract. Make sure you extract to the location of the DATA folder.
Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: STFC4LIFE on Monday, November 5, 2007, 19:48:41 Yea I get you.
What's the data folder though? Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, November 5, 2007, 19:52:54 I expect it's in the folder fo the actual program.
Probably in the c drive>program files>sigames>champ manager or something like that. Probably make sure there isn't a champ manager or sigames folder with the data folder in you 'My Documents' first though. Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Monday, November 5, 2007, 19:53:25 Its the main folder in your CM 0102 folder. For example, it'd look something like
C:/Program Files/Championship Manager 0102/Data Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: STFC4LIFE on Monday, November 5, 2007, 20:02:12 I've found the data file.
But I dont know what its called to extract into. If that makes any sense? Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: STFC4LIFE on Monday, November 5, 2007, 20:09:34 Right :D
In the Data file, I right clicked, copied the address from properties, and extracted into there. Edit. That didn't work. Fucking thing. Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, November 5, 2007, 20:20:02 Download the zip file and then copy it to the data folder you just found. Then just right click on the zip file and then "extract here". Should be simple.
Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: STFC4LIFE on Monday, November 5, 2007, 20:21:48 Zip file :?
:D Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, November 5, 2007, 20:27:07 !http://rapidshare.com/files/58908248/September.zip.html!
The file you download is a zip file, a type of compressed file. You need to extract it i.e. decompress it. You can do this by downloading that zip file, pasting it into the DATA folder and then right clicking on the zip file and clicking "extract here" Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: STFC4LIFE on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, 20:31:20 Done it today. It's ace.
Although...... Bill Power is on there as a General Manager, Brevett is a scout and Blair is brilliant. Cheers for the help Sonic and Si. Title: Champ Manager 01/02 - Help Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Thursday, November 8, 2007, 02:00:50 To be honest the quality of those updates oustide of the Championship isn't great, but when all said and done you've got an editor to tweak bits that aren't right. Its what I do, when using updates.
