Title: Sato potential ban :-)
Post by: Stef Troll on Friday, October 19, 2007, 17:21:46
Lewis Hamilton could face punishment after using two sets of wet-weather tyres during Friday's free practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paolo.
Drivers are only allowed to use one set of tyres during a session and McLaren have admitted to making the mistake.

The stewards are to discuss the situation after the second practice session finishes at 1830BST.

The FIA have no set punishment for the offence, so it remains to be seen what decision will be taken.

Honda's Jenson Button and Super Aguri's Takuma Sato also face a penalty for the same infringement.

Hamilton leads his team-mate and double world champion Fernando Alonso by four points with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen a further three behind. :D

I think Lewis Hamilton is a bit of a cunt really.

Already left Britain, already been banging on about retiring because of the media pressure (it's your first fucking season!!) and English or not he's a bit of a cheat and I don't like that. Really self-righteous too- OK Alonso is a bit of tit but he's your team mate and your senior figure- have some respect.

Contraversial but thats what I think.

To be honest both him and Alonso should have been chucked out when McLaren had their fine.  Both Alonso and Hamilton are driving these cars and were the main beneficiairies of the insider information

If all are guilty how do they decide who starts at the back of the grid, 2nd last, 3rd from the back???

Scissor, paper, stone, best of three?

Sato and Button let off, teams fined 10K. They only did an outlap on the tyres anyway.

Hamilton dropped 10 places down grid.

Only joking.

Although I don;t feel Hamilton will win the race, I would think the title will go to him.

Although I want the title to go to him. I can see Alonso winning this race. It'll be tough for him to hold back the prancing horses and get the second  he'd need. Still, I'm sure every other driver would want to take his place right now! For onw race only, come on Kimi - that would take the pressure off Lewis a bit.

Heart says Lewis, head says Alonso, cure for insomnia says Kimmi (for surezzzzzzzz).
-------------------------
In unrelated news, I got my tickets for Silverstone 08 :) Stowe B again for us (£169 -ouch).

A word of warning, the 'cheaper price' tickets are limited by number, not time. I missed out on the £139 tickets by 3 days  they predicted these would last until end October when in fact they sold out mid second week of Oct.

The latest discounted tickets are predicted to last until end Feb, so no rush yet, but if Lewis wins it they may well sell out sooner.

That said, they struggled to fill the grandstands last year. So who knows.
