Title: Organisation Post by: Panda Paws on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 09:52:04 I'm up for protests but someone has got to organise here ...
What are we doing - going in the Town End and singing? Going in the Arkells and singing. I don't care who does it - but someone 'take point' here! Title: Organisation Post by: Kinky Tom on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 09:54:25 Think we need to set up a poll as to where to head for - some will want TE, some Arkells but if we aggree to stick to what the majority decides we guarantee the highest no. possible together.
Title: Organisation Post by: Panda Paws on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 09:55:16 Agreed - we need a (and I hate this phrase) critical mass of people somewhere to make a point. We've all got to do it otherwise it won't work.
Title: Organisation Post by: yeo on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 09:58:59 Setting up Polls and giving people choices are exactly the wrong route to go down.If you want it to work people need to be told what to do not given choices. It needs to be led not voted upon.

Perhaps we should have a poll on who's going to lead this? Any volunteers, by the way? Title: Organisation Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:07:01 I think an open vote is wrong otherwise it causes bickering we need a certain group ie the trust to say THIS is where it happens.
Title: Organisation Post by: Fred Elliot on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:07:31 Arkells, as close to the directors box as possible. Then Directors entrance after the game

Title: Organisation Post by: Kinky Tom on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:16:03 You'll probably get through the Arkells turnstiles anyway - just plead ignorance if they catch you out.
Title: Organisation Post by: Luci on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:19:09 I honestly think people on thisis couldn't give a fuck about whats happening to OUR club.
Need their heads banging together. Title: Organisation Post by: jayohaitchenn on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:20:46 Everyone needs to bring a copy of the adver in case there are any fans who have not seen what shit we're in. Then if we get any not wanting to join it would be easier to convince them to.
Title: Organisation Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:21:26 Quote from: "Chris BS32" Any volunteers, by the way? I think us TUMDFCers should take this one. Title: Organisation Post by: Bogus Dave on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:23:27 Thats how it all went wrong last time though.
Title: Organisation Post by: Samdy Gray on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:24:30 Actually if we want it more public, then perhaps the Trust should get right behind this.
Title: Organisation Post by: Bogus Dave on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:25:23 Quote from: "Samdy Gray" Actually if we want it more public, then perhaps the Trust should get right behind this. Exactly! If we stop being hush hush about it, and get it out in the open, it will be a lot more likely to succeed. Title: Organisation Post by: TalkTalk on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:26:09 Quote from: "Samdy Gray" Actually if we want it more public, then perhaps the Trust should get right behind this. The Trust have no mandate to organise protests, remember? I seem to recall that it would take another members' meeting to sanction it. Fuck that. I'm protesting tonight, Trust board member or not. TBH I just checked there and there doesn't seem much going down. Title: Organisation Post by: Luci on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:32:53 It shouldn't be sorted out on there as its not accessible to everyone like this site is.
This site and the adver site are the main two ways to unite the fans. Title: Organisation Post by: Arriba on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:55:55 why not congregate outside the arkells pre match so everyone in whatever stand can vocally protest as one.then the same after the game?

There's only so much drinking time that you can cut into before people start reassessing their priorities. Title: Organisation Post by: axs on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 10:59:29 Ben, we're starting nearly 6 hours before the game - i think it'll be ok.
Title: Organisation Post by: Fred Elliot on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 11:31:08 Quote from: "Samdy Gray" Actually if we want it more public, then perhaps the Trust should get right behind this. The problem is that we need to act on the decision of our members and that can only be done through a democratic vote process and then a clear mandate is issued. The trust board cannot sanction protests until that process has been gone through or we would be acting outside of our constitution. However, from a PERSONAL point of view as a FAN I will be in attendance of any protest that is organised Title: Organisation Post by: Phil_S on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 14:56:46 Didn't we give the TRUST board a mandate at the last meeting to take any action they deemed neccesary, or was that at a previous meeting ?

That was last season Phil so falls outside or the remit unfortunately Title: Organisation Post by: yeo on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 15:04:34 No offence to the Trust board but I think this protest is better without Trust backing. So far if this message board is anything to go by then the strength of feeling alone is enough to carry this off without having to put things to votes, etc.Trust involvement meens dilly dallying about and democratic bull shit, not to mention the calls of conflict of interests from the doubters. This really needs to stay more grass routes if it is to be effective.
