I'm up for protests but someone has got to organise here ...

What are we doing - going in the Town End and singing? Going in the Arkells and singing.

Think we need to set up a poll as to where to head for - some will want TE, some Arkells but if we aggree to stick to what the majority decides we guarantee the highest no. possible together.

Agreed - we need a (and I hate this phrase) critical mass of people somewhere to make a point. We've all got to do it otherwise it won't work.

Setting up Polls and giving people choices are exactly the wrong route to go down.If you want it to work people need to be told what to do not given choices.It needs to be led not voted upon.

Perhaps we should have a poll on who's going to lead this?

I think an open vote is wrong otherwise it causes bickering we need a certain group ie the trust to say THIS is where it happens.

Everyone needs to bring a copy of the adver in case there are any fans who have not seen what shit we're in. Then if we get any not wanting to join it would be easier to convince them to.

The Trust have no mandate to organise protests, remember? I seem to recall that it would take another members' meeting to sanction it.

It shouldn't be sorted out on there as its not accessible to everyone like this site is.

This site and the adver site are the main two ways to unite the fans.

why not congregate outside the arkells pre match so everyone in whatever stand can vocally protest as one.then the same after the game?

There's only so much drinking time that you can cut into before people start reassessing their priorities.

Ben, we're starting nearly 6 hours before the game - i think it'll be ok.

The problem is that we need to act on the decision of our members and that can only be done through a democratic vote process and then a clear mandate is issued.

The trust board cannot sanction protests until that process has been gone through or we would be acting outside of our constitution.

Didn't we give the TRUST board a mandate at the last meeting to take any action they deemed neccesary, or was that at a previous meeting ?

That was last season Phil so falls outside or the remit unfortunately

No offence to the Trust board but I think this protest is better without Trust backing.So far if this message board is anything to go by then the strength of feeling alone is enough to carry this off without having to put things to votes,etc.Trust involvement meens dilly dallying about and democratic bull shit, not to mention the calls of  conflict of interests from the doubters.This really needs to stay more grass routes if it is to be effective.
