FIFA banned the keeper from playing for a number of years.

Callers to 606 are saying Dida cheated - I'm getting totally sick of footballers who fall over the minute anybody touches them. I'm no lover of Chelsea but there's John Terry getting his head in at Valencia with a broken cheekbone and other cunts falling over when they get a tickle.  Cheating cunts!

I've re-watched it a number of times on SS2, the 'fan' slapped Dida on the cheek as he goes from one side of the pitch to the other, then Dida starts chasing him, takes a few steps, suddenly stops...then falls to the ground, putting his hand to his face.

Dida is then stretchered off the pich carrying a massive ice-pack to his 'injury'.

Personally, I've always thought Dida was the most over-rated keeper in history, and seeing his performance tonight, a non-league keeper could've done a better job.

Looks like Dida made a howler to let Celtic score their second and then tries to make himself look the victim by getting stretchered off from an airy fairy wave of the arm.  OK the fan shouldn't have been there but the goalie's a fucking pussy.  Justice says Celtic should keep the points.

It was good to hear the Inter people saying it is a UEFA issue and that Celtic fans are good fans (except that one obviously).

I don't see how Celtic should be punished - it makes no sense. If they abided by UEFA's guidelines for stewarding and H&S and whatever, then they are cleared of responsibility for one fan's actions in my eyes

I'm in the same situation, i haven't seen the incident but when they said on 606 that he went down easily and had to be taken off on a stretcher i did have a little laugh to myself.

edit: Just seen the incident on SSN and Dida should be suspended for going down like that, the bloke hardly touched him, he starts running after him and then goes down holding his face....CUNT!

Nothing in this at all, the lad - daft though he was for running onto the pitch - was basically doing a Fjortoft, brushed Dida somewhere around his neck without any added force, arm completely straight.  People probably get more hurt getting on the tube every day.

No doubt Dida should be banned with no punsihment to Celtic, but the fan of course should be banned.

That keeper was far more artistic though, he went to the trouble of getting a fake blood pack which he made explode around his ear/neck before getting stretchered off.  Brazil were awarded the game as I remember.  It was around the same time as Brazil scored a goal in a game that actually managed to go in through a hole in the side netting - weird times in South American football indeed.

I love a pitch invasion. But if fans do touch opposition players they do run the risk of having the game abandoned.

I think the whole thing is pretty pathetic. Except that Dida wasted the time of medics. What if they had called an ambulance, an ambulance that could have been somewhere else helping someone who was hurt.

Fair play to Celtic for accepting the decision. The Italian lawyer just looks like an arse for trying to make a case for Dida

I am very pleasantly surprised at that decision. They had to impose some kind of penalty on Celtic and for a club their size that bearly amounts to a slap on the wrists. And quite right too. No Club can be expected to legislate for the actions of one monger. The only answer to that is to bring back fences. Bollocks to that.

On the other hand, by banning Dida for two games, they're basically saying that he's a bit of a cunt. Again, quite right. As has been said, Milan also look like a bunch of cunts by appealing. They should have just held their hands up and admitted their player was in the wrong.
