Title: Millwall Away Episode V : The Birdy Strikes Back
Post by: Samdy Gray on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, 10:13:29
New club update:

Quote
We would like to remind supporters that South Bermondsey station and the line that passes through it will be closed due to Railtrack maintenance work this Saturday 29th September.

There will be no replacement bus service between London Bridge overground station and South Bermondsey.

Also, please note that there will be no train service between London Bridge and New Cross Gate overground stations.

Those of you who would have used this route to The Den should allow a little more time for your journey. Here are some suggested alternatives:

1) New Cross, New Cross Gate, Bermondsey, Canada Water and Surrey Quays underground will be operating as normal and are all walkable to and from The Den (although from New Cross and Canada Water it is a fair old trot!). Surrey Quays is the closest (approx 20-25mins).

2) Catch a DLR train to Deptford Bridge and then take the 53 or 453 bus to the junction of Old Kent Road/Ilderton Road.

A useful travel information line is 0207-222-1234 (option 2). For underground train information www.tfl.gov.uk/tube

if there's quite a few of us in central london drinking surely we could get taxis down there - would only be a couple of quid with 5 in each one?

Just go on the undergrounds!  They are all within zones 1-2 anyway and ground is only 15 mins from stations!  NCG and SQ anyway.

Its not difficult and as for taxis in London..........Will prob be expensive tbh.

Think I'll just get a travel card at MK station and make my way  to Surrey Quays, only £23.

It's simple enough to get the tube to either Canada Water or Surrey Quays. Might try to avoid buses just to save myself the extra quid or so   :D

Hi guys, bit late in the day, i know, but we're looking to get some reaction from one of the Town fans at tomorrow's game at Millwall.

It'd take a couple of minutes on the phone after the game (but not live on air), any time from 5.30-7.30, whenever suits.

If you're going and interested pm me, or just post some abuse - whichever is most fun...

And not that I'm trying to get other people to do my work for me, or anything..... but if you're going to any other away games and fancy getting involved, just let me know.

Cheers.

Ed.
