Title: Anyone work for GFW - (RAILWAYS)
Post by: Fred Elliot on Friday, September 21, 2007, 20:46:24
Need to find out the price of season tickets to Marlow.

I can scag a lift from there into London, plus its quite close to our HQ in High Wycombe.

Have looked on the web site and I know they do them but there are no prices put up.

I really am in a whole different world of shit aren't I ?

108.10 / 7 = 15.44

15.44 x 5 = 77.20

easy  :D

Nope it doesn't work like that, although week season tickets should always work out cheaper.

Example:

Week season to Paddington was £170 roughly. It's something stupid like £90 for a day return.

Week season to Temple Meads is the equivelent of 4 days worth of returns, so you still get some benefit to it.

Fred,

I order rail tickets at work and as Si Pie says between Swindon and Paddington if you travel twice in a week, it's a lot cheaper just to get a weekly ticket.

To see how much daily tickets are,go to www.fgwtickets.co.uk

This sounds a bit anorak I know, but the tiny shuttle train from Maidenhead to Marlow (traditionally called the Marlow Donkey) offers some lovely scenery and some nice views of the pastures by the Thames.  :D
