Evidently our worst performance of the season but.
Phil Smith - Safe as houses, kicked well under pressure. Defence - Solid, Aljofree looked class and Ifil is excellent, very strong, good in the tackle and dependable. Jack Smith looked decent enough at right back and Vincent looked ok. Midfield - Liked the look of Easton, put himself about and didn't waste many chances. Pook, gives the ball away too much, much improved from 2 seasons ago but still not a good player. Roberts for me is too obvious, cuts inside all the time and usually ends up giving the ball away because of this. Zaboob was ok, crossing pretty poor although good play to set up JP to spoon the ball wide. Forwards - Weak. Sturrock runs into the channels well but then has nobody to support and loses the ball. Peacock is not the answer up front and works very hard, I would put him in Midfield instead of Pook. I was reasonably impressed with Paynter in the short period of time and would play him and another Smith Smith Ifil Aljofree Vincent Roberts Peacock Easton Comminges (Can cross better then Sofi surely??) Paynter Cox/Arrieta (not seen him but better than Sturrock surely??) Title: Team for Hartlepool Post by: Luci on Monday, September 10, 2007, 11:59:43 You have forgotten McGovern, I'd play him over Commingues as deserves longer on the pitch to show us what he can do.

Didn't you go with Tails' Dad though, who drives like an absolute nutter? (or so I'm told). I did, he certainly doesnt drive like a nutter - just at the best part of 120mph. All the way. We got there in 3 and a half hours. Did it take you 3 and a half hours to get back? That would be super amazing. Should be less. Isn't it downhill on the way back? Title: Team for Hartlepool Post by: axs on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, 23:40:11 yes, but you have to compensate for the extra south-easterly wind drag

Yes I'm going. Pubs are shit. There's a little supporters bar in one corner of the ground that let Swindon fans in last season. A couple of people have advised to avoid the town centre like the plague. I've been to Hartlepool, don't remember a town center, just some chemical plants filling the air full of sulphuric acid, and a beach from Hell with a nuclear power plant in the vicinity. Was I in the wrong place, it smelled like shit. It would make a good location for one of those films about the only three survivors after worldwide nuclear warfare. The only survivors being a mutant, a lesbo, and some macho type trying to impress on the alleged female, the importance of continuing the human race. Sounds like Middlesbrough to me! Been to Middlesborough as well, same smell, don't remember a beach, though. The place was all lit up at night, so I guess I should have felt at home. Yes, but against the prevailing wind. Title: Team for Hartlepool Post by: flammableBen on Friday, September 14, 2007, 12:16:28 too slow neville.
