Pretty pleased about Owen and Heskey starting as probably the best current pairing we have (who are fit of course).

nope, not worth the effort.

I expect the game to be slow, dull and boring and England to escape with a pretty poor display and a 2-0 victory.

the experience also includes being sociable with people, something i find as appealing as the game. you should try it.

    In saw BB in the Windmill a few weeks back...and indeed it was the same old Bushey.

    Pub had changed mind, it used to be the Cornflower and had loadss of old agricultural implements everywhere.

Yeah I keep meaning to head back there and having a quieter one instead of going into town all of the time.

Used to be quite a regular until my mate moved to the other side of grange park and now he deems it too far to walk. He even suggested going to the De Vere for a drink once as it had "comfy seats". What a spaz. I stopped asking him if he wanted to go for a few pints down the local after that.

Thought Israel were very poor,of course the game on Wednesday will be a much bigger challenge.

If swp hadn't of scored his goal he'd be getting slated at the moment, so how on earth did he get MOTM. The most effective player on the pitch was heskey by a mile.

That aside was a very good performance. If Mclaren has the balls to stick with heskey and barry, then im feeling confident for wednesday.

Nobody stood out as having a bad game
We won easily
And the atmosphere even picked up!

Now we'll just have to wait for the press to criticise some minor point and make it sound like McLaren cost us something massive by bringing Bentley on  :-))(

No-he's always been shit

Israel had one game plan, 10 men behind the ball, and get a 0-0 draw. They did that at home, and they tried to do that at Wembley.

They got what they deserved.

Quite impressed with England for the first time under Mucklaren, solid all round. Gerrard looked good in the middle, Richards was a breath of fresh air after so many years of a lethargic Gary Neville.

Rio had his best game for England for years, admittedly he was not up against much oppo, Heskey played ok after his early poor miss even though I dont think hes an England striker and never really has been.

And I dont thin Robinson had to make a proper save, so overall very happy but Russia will be a much greater test Wednesday if we play as well as against Israel and create chances we will win.

Tbh I can't remember much of this game :?

Russia have to play their 3rd choice keeper on wednesday, so that gives us some extra hope

Poland managed to get a last minute equaliser agains portugay, not a bad record against em.

Haha. SWP was quite clearly level at worst, Owen wasn't even looking and the keeper charged straight into him, and if you don't wantt o concede free-kicks, don't trip players up.
