Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: magnum150 on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 21:36:36 Did anybody here his interview on Poo-nel FM after the game.
He has stated the he believes he played very well and he expects to be in the starting eleven on Sunday. If not then PS can expect a knock on his door to find out why not!! What a twat! You are on loan my little cock-er-nee chum. Bide your time and keep your mouth shut would be sound advice. Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: jimbob on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 21:38:39 i like his desire personally and think he will do well for us based on tonights performance
Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 21:43:23 He was OK tonight. Not brilliant but not poor. Good header for the goal but he missed a dead sitter. Also had an ok touch but didn't seem to have the best of footballing brains. Still only 1 game so i won't be judging him more until i see him play a few more games.
Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: magnum150 on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 21:46:23 I'm not doubting the skill or desire etc. It's the attitude that annoys me.
I expect to be in the starting elevn and if not i'll be banging on the managers door! Woooooah up there sunny. Bide your time score your goals and you will be starting. Staments like that will only piss off the manager. Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: jimbob on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 21:50:01 Quote from: "Rich" He was OK tonight. Not brilliant but not poor. He feels he's got something to prove(which can only be good news for us) as he ain't yet broke into their 1st team squad on a regular basis. Yes...err no...err. You know what I mean. I agree that having desire and enthusiasm is important but that was over stepping the mark. Nobody should ASSUME that they will be in the team. "I think I played well and I hope I have done enough to earn a start" would have been a better thing to say. He wasn't just ok, he was more lively and creative than our other strikers so far this season. Yeah he missed a 1 on 1, but that was probably one negative amongst a hand full of positives. Going on tonight's performance I'm very impressed with Cox, fair play to the lad for saying he thinks he should start on Saturday. He might sound arrogant, but another way of looking at it is it's just confidence - something our other strikers don't have. Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 22:07:22 I thought Arrieta was better than Cox tonight.

Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 22:17:16 I thought they both had a difficult job to do tonight though, HOOF!
I think Arrieta looked to gamble a little bit more, which was the difference. Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: DV on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 22:20:37 Blair and Peacock didnt score in their last outing for the Town, Cox did.....he did his job tonight so fair play to him.

If you are going to make it to the top as a striker being a little arrogant is how you have to be. Humility is not a good sign for a player ready to put his head in a concrete mixer. No complaint if he plays Saturday. Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, September 5, 2007, 07:44:13 Cox scored as many in 1 game as all the other strikers have scored individually in 3 or 4 games they have played, gotta be worth a go surely? Addmitedly I wasn't there but he sounded fairly lively even if it was against a poor Bees side.
As for his attitude, he sounded more eager to me than arrogant and jumped up as some people are stating. And 1 game 1 goal - goal per game ratio keep it up Coxy! it up with goals. Lets see if he can keep it up. On another issue, do we know how well corr is getting on? Title: Simon Cox Part two Post by: tans on Wednesday, September 5, 2007, 12:14:56 playing for reserves this week or next i heard.

I want players upset at being subbed, upset at losing shows a hunger for the game, which has been lacking in recent years.
