Called up to England Squad and I have to say I know nothing about him at all.

Any good?  Good call by Maclaren?

Good player.

about fucking time, if you ask me.

Should have done this last year.

Loads of Premiership clubs looked at him, for years while he was at Wolves and Everton finally took the gamble on him and he's been ace ever since.

Looks like a Klingon though due to a scare on his forhead from a car accident.

Quality player, as DV said it's about fucking time he was called up.

Good centre back and has been equally good a full back for Everton this season.

The Rovers player?

If yes, then yes it's his brother.

Great decision as he's been on top form so far this season.

Shame he's got a snowball's chance in hell of making an appearance (barring horrendous injury problems).

It took a while for someone to bring him into the Prem because in his early days he was often described as a bit lazy, or a bit like Rio Ferdinand.  As he didn't have the advantage of playing at the highest league while earning this rep he was left to build up a reputation with Wolves.

FWIW, I think I;d have him in the team ahead of Rio.

Tevez looks worse than Ribery. Good move by england coach by calling Lescott in the squad he has been consistent for Everton and Wolves.

At last, McLaren picks a player in form and not just the old pals' act, I belive Heskey is playing as well as he has done for a few seasons as well.  Question is will Robinson be named as no. 1??

Yep

Alan smith will start with owen, and heskey will be behind johnson and defoe in the 'pecking order'.

And Lescott will play no part at all in either game.

Robinson's England days should be over. One mistake too many for my liking. James still got away with though  :-))(  Bet Robbo does as well.
