Again.

I feel sorry for the (few) fans they've got, but it just doesn't seem that there's enough interest in Accrington to sustain a football league club.

Probably due to the number of higher profile clubs in the area.

Agreed. It's a shame though. I read somewhere last season that they struggle to get a thousand through the gates.

a club that fought its way back to league footy deserves better support.
a real shame

Can't we buy them?

Accrington has a very small population and is about 2 miles from Burnley so it would be like Bassett trying to sustain a league team here.  I hope they survive.

They own that pub now, an attempt to make a few extra bob to stay in business.

I don't think there is anyone left to support them though, that's the problem.  It's like a suburb of Burnley and then you have Blackburn 10 minutes up the road.

One of their fans said on the radio that a Blackburn season ticket is cheaper than an Accie one, that might have something to do with it.

I dont think its a case of Accie ripping off the fans though, more that when you have such a small fanbase you have to higher prices to stay alive.Plus in their dead years and nonleague years they lost two generations of supporters to other local clubs.

Totally agree. It must be impossible for a club like that to ever generate a fan base with so many bigger clubs just on their doorstep.

Will be a shame if they do go bust.

i read somewhere that last season the average salary in their squad was £28,500 a year, which is very low for professional football.
