After the excitement of last nights late, late transfer deals I'm hoping that events on the pitch will keep me smiling!

All the players now have to perform to keep their places, knowing that there is a replacement waiting in the wings.

I think we'll win 3.1. Goals from Blair, Roberts and Aljorfree or Ifil.

By the sound of the goal we conceeded today and the goal at nam maybe a faster closing down in midfield would have stopped the player having a shot and scoring, which is exactly what Adams is best at doing.

Pook got MOM today.  Fair play, took his goal well and put in some good challenges.

Some distribution was a tad dodgy but can be forgiven for the goal.

Vincent disappointed a little today, mianly for the goal we conceeded but on a positive Comminges looked good and Mohammed looked sharp when he came on - would definitely like to see more of him.

Funny that Crewe appartnely only brought 90 fans and the only ones singing were a group of around 10 pikeys behind the goal!

pook and easton were superb in the engine room, but mom was ifil by a mile.barring one stray pass he was faultless today with countless interceptions and timed challenges

I thought we played very well. We should have won yes, and these draws are frustrating but we now have a couple of new strikers and Corr to still come back. We never expected much this season anyway so im happy with the start and the performances put in. I think its silly that people are booing or being negative already.

Agreed, Pook, Easton and Ifil were quality today. Vincent wasnt at his best, Peacock was very poor and i think Blair struggles up front although cant fault him for effort. Overall im feeling very positive, lets just hope the new strikers do the trick and we can start banging in the chances we are creating.

Thought it was a mixed bag personally. But more good than bad.

Ifil, Aljorfree, Smith at the back all had good games.

Robert,  Easton, Pook were all effective in midfield for most of the game.

Peacock was his usual battling self.

I've given Blair the benefit of the doubt and no one can deny at Nam he looked quite good, but on todays evidence, the sooner Paynter, or Cox, are in the side, the better. There were times today when I felt sorry for him cos he looked lost.

Vincent was pretty poor and so was Zaboub. Why does everyone love him? Maybe Pook should start wearing gloves and changed his name to Ahktar, we'd all love him then!

Hopefully this is the last game where we see so many chances squandered.

The worrying thing is that apart from that wonder goal last week, all the  goals we've conceded have come from crosses. Theres a weakness in there somewhere, but im not entirely sure what it is or who's fault it is. But its something we should change.

As the players tired and got a little frustrated, our passing became a little sloppy, but it's still early days and we will only improve.

Like everyone else has said, we would have taken 6 points from 4 games at the start of the season....

Thought Peacock, Ifil, Aljofree and Pook all played really well and at times Zaaboub and Roberts were threatening.
My MOTM though was Easton. What a signing he is! He covers every blade of grass and is just superb. Maybe at fault for their goal a little, as he got caught ball watching, but apart from that, he was fantastic.

My impression was that Easton chickened out dealing with  that through ball ,although it was awkward for him. Apart from that, he had a fine game.

Sounds like we should have come away with a bit more today, but I'd have taken our top half position at the start of the season. I expect things to change now we've finally got some attacking players in we might see more end product, hopefully.

It's like last week when some one (it might have been Sturrock actually!) said it was a weak header from our defender (Aljofree I think) which I suppose it was bit it didn't seem to be a partiularly dangerous situation and their player still had plenty to do. At the end of the day it was a good goal as was Northampton's on the opening day, as was Luton's the other week. It sounds like the same thing happened yesterday.

I like the fact that teams have had to score good goals against us this season and we've not had any 'comedy moments' at the back. I am touching wood as I type this :?

Our strike pairing of Peacock/Sturrock is too similar and doesn't work.
Zaaboub may as well have not turned up.

Yesterday showed that when our wingers are not on their game we don't play very well.

i thought pook did well, he got the ball and played it off to someone more able or backwards if there wasn't a ball on

peacock and sturrock are only similar in their work ethic and the fact they're used as a platfom to build from.

I've just seen the goals and that was such a blatant push by Peacock I can't believe the officials didn't see it.

I suppose it balances out Aljofree's perfectly good goal which was ruled out against Luton.

I rekon that was the worst Ive ever seen Vincent play. Hes had some really top performances since he came, but that was the worst. Everyone else was just a little below par. Just dissapointing to watch after Luton where everyone (bar Blair Sturrock) was bang on their game.

Shame we didnt edge it, because we were the better side in a low key game. Its the same 3 points for Crewe or Leeds though, these are the games that get you in the top 6.  

I think we deserved all the points more at Cheltenham. But Im sure we will kick on again this month with the new players.
