How about a whip round for Kieron before the Crewe game then?

The poor bugger's broken his leg for about the upteenth time in his career. I don't suppose he will be getting paid by West Ham while he's off injured, he won't be able to do his day job (I imagine he's a painter/decorator or something like that) and he's probably skint, what with having been a Premiership footballer for the last ten years and all.

Would anyone like to help me out with this worthwhile cause?

I think we are being a little selfish in just trying to raise funds for the clearly impoverished families of players, we should stretch this a little and have a whip round before the Crewe game with some buckets for a whole team and it's fanbase, such as Everton.  They are so hard up they are going to have move into a Tesco in a different Town just to make ends meet.  As this will clearly be an even more deserving cause I think we should hand out stickers to anyone who pops a note in.

Could we not ask the club to hold a benefit game as well?

Reminds me of years back when Tranmere were in the shit,  we had a bucket collection towards their transport costs, to fulfil an early season fixture...think we won 4-2 and Rideout scored a few.
