Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: SwindonTartanArmy on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 08:03:18 Quote Wycombe's managing director Steve Hayes, said: "It was an insult to the player and the club. "It made me angry. This is a player who was one of the top scorers in the division last year. "He scored against three Premiership sides in the cup and is now a Welsh international - and they are offering that. It is taking the mickey." This coming from the club that offered us £50,000 for Danny Invincibile??? :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: Twats! Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 08:08:03 I think he needs anger management therapy. All he had to do was turn down the offer. No need for the anger. He needs to think of his blood pressure.
Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Batch on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 08:37:33 I bet we'd be publically upset if the situation was reversed. Even if it was to try and talk up the price, coupled with trying to appease the fans if he does leave;"We tried to keep him".
IMHO it is going to take silly money (500K+) to prize him from Wycombe, especially this close to the start of the season where they would have little time to find a replacement. If they are desperate you never know I suppose. My guess - We get Holmes and A.N Other in on loan. When (if at all) does the loans window close? Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: wheretherealredsare on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 08:41:33 31st August
Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Batch on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 08:44:24 Oh right, same as perminant recruits then. Damn, I though the window was open longer for loan players.

Here you go, got it sorted now: England June 1st to August 31st January 1st to January 31st Premiership and Football League clubs. Note: Clubs from the Championship to the Conference can loan in players from September 8th to November 23rd and also from February 8th until March 23rd. Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Batch on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 09:24:17 Good work wheretherealredsare, thanks. So we can always dip our toe into the loan market if the Easter bid fails I guess.
Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: wheretherealredsare on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 09:38:40 Aye, but when PS says "by the deadline" I guess he means 31/8 for permanent and loan deals with the option of 8 days later to have another crack at loans if necessary. Hope we are all sorted by the end of this month.
If, for example, Easter hasn't signed for anyone by then he could be loaned from 8/9 and signed on a permanent deal in January next year. Danger is he could be recalled, or snatched by another club if he does well. On the other hand he would be on display in a higher league window, possibly proving he can perform there. PS You can call me wtrra. I don't write to myself (yet :P ) so bleedin' long user name doesn't bother me. Seemed like a good idea at the time  Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: STFC Bart on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 11:30:25 Will be suprised to see money spent unless someone is sold

Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Tails on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 11:49:31 I really hope we don't offer any more than £200K. He really isn't worth that much!

Wycombe got about 650-700K for Nathan Tyson, whose attributes and record are similarish to Easter....though not sure about contract. Easter was bought with some of the Tyson money, so its entirely understandable why Wycombe are trying to up the price. Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Tails on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 12:08:38 Of course, they need to hold out for the best offer they can get seeing as he is their prize assett.
I still wouldn't pay anymore than that, though. Tyson is a far better player than Easton. Easter is hoping for a CCC side.....not sure he'll get one. Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 12:18:35 It should of course be remembered that Easter can go for nothing in the summer.
Do Wycombe cash in now and get less than what they think he's worth? Do they hold on to him and get nothing in the summer? I know where I would put my money. I have a feeling that we will get him before the deadline. It will probably be for more than we are offering and may include performance related payments. It will also be for quite a bit less than Wycombe are asking. I am basing all of that on nothing more than a 'feeling in my water'. 'Watch this space' as some one once said. Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 12:40:41 cant blame wycombe for wanting more.
he'll go for nearer £500,000 i think Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: SwindonTartanArmy on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 13:08:01 £500,000 is a hell of a lot when you can get him for fuck all in the summer though
Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 13:09:26 someone will pay up before then though.wycombe quite rightly will want to cash in
Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Bogus Dave on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 13:09:49 Hes not even that good. You can get much better for £500k than jermaine easter.

Yeah, but he's not like Sam Parkin is he? One good season in the fourth division. He's worth going for, but not for the money Wycombe are after.. Not when you consider what we got for Sam Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Rich Pullen on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, 17:36:10 Sam Parkin scored 20 goals a season in 3 seasons for the same club in League One.
Easter has scored 20 goals in 1 season and is quickly becoming a journeyman striker. Easter has scored goals against Prem teams in the largely derided Carling Cup, Easter has played Wales - there's no avatar to symbolise a sarcastic slow clap - so a "Whoopty-Doo" will have to suffice.... <here it comes> Whoopty-Doo. If Plymouth or any other club want to pay over £500,000 for him then so be it. Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, August 23, 2007, 22:20:44 He's worth what anyone wants to pay. We got quite a bit for Fallon in the end. Similar situation.

Hardly fair to compare the easter situation to that particular piece of business genius. Title: Wycombe - hypocritical cunts Post by: Colin Todd on Friday, August 24, 2007, 13:27:25 Quote from: "Minnesota Fats" I've found, over time, you're statistically more likely to get into an argument/fight with somebody from the Amish community, than you are with a Wycombe supporter.
