I thought the Town End was pretty quiet today to be truthful.
I also thought the chanting from Luton fans was awful, there must have been at least 300 of them and they were so quiet.

the 1st 15 mins was vocal but then went a bit quiet as the game went a bit flat until the 2nd half.

attacking the town end tho in the 2nd half makes a difference i reckon as its easier for the players to hear us gettin behind em.

anyone notice that a few people were trying to start up a new lee peacock song to the tune of that minge song i posted the other day?(scousers 5 times chant)

also couldn't believe how many luton left with more than 5 minutes to go when they were only a goal down-bizarre....

The movement and then the delivery for the first goal was superb. The game went quiet in spells, but I totally agree with you Sonic, it was a very enjoyable game, especially scoring so late on Luton didn't have any time to respond.
Just add a couple more players and who knows what will happen this season, thought Luton would be a tough nut to crack, but they were nothing special at all.

Fuckin hell....im agreeing with dellboy/fencesitter.
We WILL do well in this division.
After last year, i thought we had forgoten what spreading the play was all about. Not after today... Zaboub and Roberts did the biz for me.

I was in the Nationwide (whatever it is) and they certainly went mental for the winner.
The thing that really struck me yesterday was the only talk amongst supporters before the game, at half time and full time was about FOOTBALL, what a change from the end of last year and how much more enjoyable.

I don't get the rave reviews of Aljofree... the majority of his rushed clearances go vertical, and he often follows the ball into midfield when his striker lays it back, thus leaving him out of position and Ifil with 2 men.

He's quite good, sure, but some of the hype surrounding his performances is laughable.

Bring back scarves, they prevent the desire to clap while singing which in turn leads to the beat being hastened (excitable youth).  The best recent example I can think of hpw it should be was the game with the Bank open.  The singing to each stand enforced a delay and meant clapping was not a real option to ensure you could hear the return.  Something like that anyway.

 :D

In my defence, I've never really been a clapper, more just the happy, and even that is questionable over the past year!

I'm fully against the rapid clapping of hands that ruins singing duration and fully in favour of 2 stand chants like the Mansfield game.  My proper formative years (16-19 year old) were spent in amongst the gang on the Bank, or in the Shrivy Rd before that.

Sadly, I can't remember seeing it on tap.  Supermarkets usually have it, though.

Should've mentioned any of the Obolon varieties as well...although I've absolutely no idea where you'd find them...except Delerium in Brussells, which totally rocks as it has all sorts of wonderful beers (including a mango one from Angola :beers: )

Its nothing to do with better etc its to do with holding a chant and keeping it going, ask your mrs, things that last only a few seconds will always be outdone by the times it lasted 20 times as long.  It builds up the team etc!

It also draws more people into it if sustained.  Those singing inhibitions kick in to start with but as it goes on for longer peoples barrier to joining in breaks down.  I reckon if you kept it up long enough Diamandis would even join in
