I've had a look on google you knob jockey ( :wink: ), but I think that having people like OST, Reg and others at your disposal is a little more helpful than reading shit loads about ALAN Shearer via Google.

I'm sure hunt didnt get on the picth in the premiership for us, in fact I thought he left prior to that?

Bodin played in the top flight for Palace.....all the others a no.

  No the story goes, and it came from the horses mouth, that Dalgleish only took Dunc, to remove him from us who were vying with Blackburn for the PO slot.

I have heard that, not from horses mouth, but from an old colleague of Shearer's, but I assumed he hung around for a little longer than he actually did.

Yeah I knew he played top flight for Saints, just wondered on the Pompey front.

He was at Pompey 92-99.

None of those years saw Pompey in the top flight.

Fitzroy however did play in the top flight for Manchester City...

Yeah I knew that too, it was the specific players with the specific clubs mentioned that was the bone of contention.

Basically the question was

Out of all the legends to be at the game the other day name the players that played in the top flight and for which clubs.

 Can you list the leg ends?

I'll see if I can think of them all.

The only one that isn't a guess is Paul Hunt. I don't think he even got near the bench when we were in the Prem. In fact, I think we probably released him at the end of the promotion season.

The one I'm next surest about is Deadly Dunc. Blackburn only signed him from us to fuck us up. Which they did, well and truly (well, that particular season anyway) Of all the shit transfer dealings I've whitnessed over the years, that one takes the biscuit in terms of shear (excuses the pun) numbskullery and baffoonery.

I'm relatively certain that Alan Mac and Fitz didn't play in teh prem for Pompey. Alan Mac must have played in the top flight for Southampton but I don't know if it would have been the Premier League at that time.

The one I'm least sure about is Bodin as Palace have been up and down more times than a hoare's drawers in the last 20 years and I lose track of what league they're in. What league are they in now? I can't remember :shrug:
