That soundbite I heard as "... assuming the takeover has gone through ..." sounding like a hack asking an assumptive question. But I also heard a sound like somebody's ball starting to roll.

Brunel said details would be on the OS by half 10 and that the takeover is a done deal and there will be a press conference tomorrow at the club.

Possibly although Brunel did say details of the company that will be taking over will be posted on the OS ASAP. That's probably what they have been told by the club. One way or another we will know the score by close of play tomorrow.

Part of the BES banking group in Portugal, it looks to me like they are being used as an investment vehicle for the consortium, so probably stumping up the banking facilities and credit but aren't the actual people taking over.

hardly a knee jerk reaction .. this takeover crap has been going on for an eternity.. I like anyone want this to be the dawning of a new era ... but if the current board of Diamond Mike and co are involved anywhere at all it is doomed to fail .
