05/06: 36 different players appeared in league matches. 06/07: 33 different players appeared in league matches. 07/08: 23 squad members as of start of season. so that means we'll see somewhere between seven and thirteen new players over the course of this season. who said our squad is small? 04/05 there was 8 loans after the season kicked off Not sure how many there were last season? So expect another 8 loans during the season who will play and turn 23 into 32 players.... Not sure I could do it now mind....without looking it up.
Loads of players usually equates to a crap season ....in 69/69 we used 16 players. Title: a completely uninteresting piece of information Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, August 12, 2007, 10:22:15 ...and in 89/90 season (the Ossie Ardiles 'samba football' promotion season) we used 23. When you take out certain individuals who made virtually no contribution, like Ossie himself who played in the first two games only, Kevin Dearden who made one appearance in goal and Leigh Barnard who, suprisingly, made five appearances that season, you could argue that essentially we had a 14 man squad that season.
