Title: Hampton and Richmond
Post by: donkey on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 20:49:43
Just got a phone call from a mate who attended this one tonight.

Our Stiffs/Sprogs drew 1-1 with H&R.

Apparently no-one really stood out, although the French trialist keeper looked OK.  I forgot to ask who scored for us (he probably didn't know).  In his esteemed opinion none of the ten outfield players will play more than ten games for us...

In other news, H&R are nicknamed the Beavers.

Cheers

Waddington scored for us 3rd minute or so, the French goalie did look good, 2 very good saves and his kicking was superb throughout, only trialist from county ground game (there were 5) was the right back who looked ok think his name was harry wahalian. First time i've seen Tom evans who looked very solid as did hammond

No, I've never posted on the adver site, and truth be told, I somewhat annoyed that someone else has used my nickname

And the Slaughtered Lamb in American Warewolf in London was called the Black Swan/Mucky Duck and was in Ockham near Leatherhead in Surrey.  I used to drink there years ago and it was good (sold VB :beers: ).  It's now a soulless food pub

the adver is comedy gold. there was an old bloke in there today who got sent a letter scam - similar to the nigerian/ivory coast ones - and said that the sender of said letter ought to be shot.

slightly over the top i thought...

Cheers Arriba.

Blimey, that Donkey seems like decent chap.  I am now happy to share a name with him. :)

Knows a hell of a lot more than me about postal unions and stuff though (not hard, tbh).

Cheers

Yeah, played snooker there a few times (badly), a few quizzes, a mate's Gran's 70th birthday (to this day I still have no idea why I was invited), and watched the baker from Cheam lose in the World Darts Final.

Good place, Reg, I concur.

Cheers

Its only since Yeovil pointed out the "Cheers, Donkey" thing that I now find it rather unsettling too!
