A TREMENDOUS pat on the back to Phil for organising and arranging last night BRILLIANT game at the County Ground. A massive amount raised Im sure. Well done Phil for getting it all together and also providing the funniest moment of the match when he went on a free transfer to Gorman's team after being subbed by Macari .. pure comedy genius! To be honest Phil has done a better job of organising an event than anyone has ever managed at STFC ... maybe he should be given the post of event organiser at the club! ONCE AGAIN .. WELL DONE PHIL!!  Title: Phil King Post by: Fred Elliot on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 10:30:20 Here Here

Title: Phil King Post by: Summerof69 on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 11:09:14 Another top evening, which rates along the Lou Macari night back in April.
Funniest part was when Phil came back on the first time, and within seconds he had a shot, which went tamely wide. I shouted out jokingly 'Get him off !!' and ten seconds later, he was !! Title: Phil King Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 11:39:37 I think he did so well - he got some brilliant names in and it was a total success
I could only dream of orgainsing events like this!! Does anyone know how he first got involved with the hospice and rasing money for them? I just wondered if there was a story behind it or anything? Title: Phil King Post by: Luci on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 11:42:21 Im not sure about Phil but I think Kamara got involved also as lost both his parents to Cancer.

Title: Phil King Post by: STFC_Gazzza on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 11:56:16 I have been speaking to Phil about this at the Dolphin for a couple of months now and he has worked tirelessly. The amount of times we got intereupted by phone calls from former players etc was incredible. he really did put loads of work into this and It would be something if he could make it a yearly event or something. Phil really does deserve so much praise for this. You will get a chance to thank him in person at the next quiz night, although not sure when this will be yet. I will look to sort this out for maybe September?
